eBay has announced the launch of a new personalized shopping experience based on your Interests.
Whether you’re a sneakerhead-golf-fanatic or a boho-chic guitarist with a flair for yoga, there’s a new way to shop for everything you love in one place. Today, eBay announces the launch of Interests – a new feature that tailors your shopping experience based on your passions, hobbies, and style. The result is a more personalized eBay that uses technology to curate the world’s largest selection of inventory, exclusively for you.
After shoppers select what they're interested in, their homepage is updated with themes and items based on those selections. Interests are matched with browsing patterns to help improve discovery of things you may like.
“Our shopping experience should be as individual as each shopper on eBay,” said Bradford Shellhammer, Head of Browse & Personalization for eBay. “By asking people to tell us a little bit about their interests, we’re delivering a personalized store built around the things you care about most.”
Interests is currently available on eBay's mobile app in the U.S. for iOS and Android. In the coming months, it will continue rolling out to new platforms, including mobile-web and desktop, as well as markets around the world.
You can download eBay from the App Store for free.
