Apple is planning dramatic changes to the design of its iPhone, according to a new rumor from Digital Chat Station.
In a recent post on Weibo, the leaker claims that the 'iPhone 17 Air' will feature a horizontal runway design on the back, while the new iPhone 17 Pro will adopt a large "horizontal matrix" layout.
Apple's design is starting to change dramatically. The new iPhone 17 Air ultra-thin model features a horizontal runway design, while the Pro series adopts a large horizontal matrix layout. Plus, a big foldable model has been added to the lineup—let the competition begin
We've now heard multiple rumors that the iPhone 17 Air could feature a horizontal camera bar. There have also been some reports that Apple could extend the camera bump all the way across the iPhone 17 Pro as well.
In a recent YouTube video, leaker Jon Prosser claims to have seen Apple's next-generation iPhone 17 Pro. He shares renders that allegedly represent the device, featuring a larger camera bar that stretches across the rear of the iPhone. A three-lens camera array sits on the left in the same arrangement as the iPhone 16 Pro; however, the flash, LiDAR, and microphone have been moved to the far right side of the camera bar. Check out those renders here.
Apple is expected to unveil its iPhone 17 lineup this fall, so there are likely many more rumors and leaks to come. Please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for all the updates.
