New renders have surfaced that purportedly reveal the design of the much rumored iPhone 17 Air. The images were shared on YouTube by Jon Prosser of FPT.
In the video below, Prosser claims to have seen Apple's next-generation iPhone 17 Air. He then shares renders that allegedly represent the device, featuring a camera bar that stretches across the rear of the iPhone. A single camera lens sits on the left of the bump and on the right are the flash and microphone.
After all of the rumors and speculation, concepts and renders, here is what the iPhone Air actually looks like. I will say, at this stage in the year, designs are pretty much final for the entire iPhone lineup, so what I saw with my own eyes is what you see here in our recreated render. From what I understand, this is less of an upgraded premium iPhone, and more so debuts as a side grade, a supplemental but complementary option sitting next to the regular base model.
Multiple reports suggest that Apple plans to introduce the iPhone 17 Air next year as a replacement for the iPhone 17 Plus. The model is rumored to sport a slim design with a 6.6-inch display, setting it apart from other devices in Apple's lineup. Additionally, the iPhone 17 Air could utilize Apple's new in-house 5G modem and eliminate support for SIM cards entirely.
While the runway strip for iPhone Air has been predicted several times, Prosser recently showcased renders of an iPhone 17 Pro design that features a similar but much larger camera bump. Interestingly, leaker Digital Chat Station claimed earlier today that the iPhone 17 Pro will adopt a large "horizontal matrix" layout.
