Apple is also releasing new versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote that support Apple Pencil. The idea is that students will draw inside the project. Not just doodles, but maybe notes in the margin. Apple is also giving a sneak peek at an upcoming Pages features called "Smart Annotation." This feature won't be available for Pages just yet.

The event is being held at Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago starting at 8am PT / 10am CT / 11am ET.
Apple is rumored to be working on a cheaper 9.7-inch iPad (perhaps with Apple Pencil support) as well as a cheaper 13-inch MacBook Air which could be unveiled at the event. Additionally, Apple is expected to finally release its AirPower wireless charging mat this month.
