Check Out These Two iPhone Prototypes Used to Design Its Software Keyboard [Photo]

Ken Kocienda, a Human Interface designer who worked at Apple for over 16 years, has shared a photo of two iPhone prototypes used to design its software keyboard.

The iPhone was a great project to work on, and a great team of people to work with. Happy 10th birthday.

Here are two iPhone prototypes. We called them Wallabies. I used these devices to make the software keyboard.


I kept those devices in my desk drawer for years. When I left Apple, returning this hardware was tough, like saying goodbye to old friends.
