Apple is celebrating Bastille Day in France with a tweaked 'Shot on iPhone' campaign. Bastille Day is the name used in English speaking countries to refer to French National Day, which is celebrated on July 14th of each year.
The company has updated its website and posted new billboards with blue, white, and red photos arranged to represent the national flag of France.
I thought Bastille was the the name of the guy shot by cops. But his name is actually Castile. I thought Apple was tributing him with pictures SHOT on iPhone. Like I said, I had just woken up and was not thinking straight.
