Adobe Unveils New 'Content-Aware Crop' for Photoshop CC [Video]

Posted May 26, 2016 at 5:07pm by iClarified
Adobe has unveiled a new 'Content-Aware Crop' feature coming soon to Photoshop CC.

I can’t tell you how many times people have asked me when we will bring the Content-Aware technology to the crop tool. Soon we will! In this video, group product manager, Stephen Nielson shows you how it works. With Content-Aware Crop, Photoshop looks at all the pixels around the edges of your image and automatically, seamlessly fills in the blank space with content when you expand or rotate an image.

How You Can Use It:
● Move the horizon by adding more sky or ground
● Change the aspect ratio by adding content around the edges of your image
● Fill in the corners when you rotate an image so you don’t give up any of your pixels

The Content-Aware Crop feature will be part of a major update to Photoshop CC. For updates on other new features coming to Photoshop CC, please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS.

Photoshop is obviously smart and creative. Why you can't tell us how many times people asked you when we will bring the Content-Aware technology to the crop tool.
