Sources have reportedly told DigiTimes that Apple's upcoming iPhone 7 has completed its third round of testing.
Corroborating previous reports, the iPhone 7 is said to be waterproof and dustproof. Additionally, Apple is said to be moving from a push Home button to a touch sensitive 'direct induction' Home button that will provide haptic feedback (vibration) when pressed.
Google Translation: Informed sources, iPhone 7 (tentative name) has completed the third round of testing, in addition to waterproof and dustproof function, and Home keys to unlock the way from the original push into direct induction
Notably, Apple recently applied for a patent on a Liquidmetal home button that would deform slightly when pressed then return to its normal shape.
If it's true, I'm most definitely getting it since tmobile makes it so adorable to get one lol. No headphone jack will be so sad but ehh there's always adapters for it. Remember the first iPhone? :D
So all the upgrades that this article discusses are planned for next year? Are we to put up with the iPhone 6 design for one more year? Has apple completely lost their minds? 2016 is already being touted as the year iPhone sales fall after 9 years of nothing but rising sales, and apple is planning on putting off their big upgrade for another year? This is ridiculous. It would seem apple has become too blind to see that it needs actual innovation to keep generating growth. The iPhone SE (which will be another failure like the 5C) proves just how stupid the folks at apple have become. Apparently they can't see that people want new designs, new features, and all day battery life!
The iPhone se is not intended or expected to sell well in the current main markets of USA/Europe/etc, it is specifically aimed at the expected growth in India where Apple have just made the deals which should see them able to compete for the lower end mass market. It's why it seems like a pointless/irrelevant product for most of the traditional Apple buyers, but it may be a big seller in India...we'll see.
First off, how can you be so sure that sales will fall when year after year they continue to grow? Second, I think we should be concerned about how much of mind you may have lost. Whether the 5c failed or not, it still sold well because people pay a bit less for the phone, but it also outsold the s4 in most areas. Thirdly, it's still not confirmed that the leaks of the iPhone to look like what people judge based on rumors, but as for the upgrades itself? Not only do we have little understanding about what we know so far until the reveal, but from what I've seen as past events, there always is something that will blow me away in terms of offering anything new, but what have others done instead of just making the same thing right after Apple has made it?
What's my maximum dive depth with this !? Lastly, I lost a shitty iPhone 6 64gb because I fell in the water halfass drunk getting back on my yacht. WTF it was dead in seconds !
It's said to be fully waterproof like around where Sony Xperia is and will show Samsung catching up again once apple does make a more waterproof phone than the s7.
