Google is testing a completely redesigned interface for Gmail, according to a new report from Geek.com.
The new design features a fly-in menu on the left which replaces the tab system that Gmail got last year. There is also a collapsible Hangouts interface on the right.
This setup lets you open everything up if you’re a fan of using the whole display for your email, but it also supports shrinking the window down so you can glance at your Inbox whenever you need it. The bars that stretch across the display look a a little awkward at first, but when you keep in mind how much information can be displayed in those bars it is a setup that could prove useful to anyone who needs a more detailed scan of their Inbox when hunting for something.
Circular buttons to create a new email or reminder are located at the bottom right. There's also a new pin system that replaces stars. A toggle at the top of the UI can be used to drag your pinned emails to the top.
There's no guarantee that these features will make it to public release; however, you can check out the new layout in the screenshots below...
lol. I am not. You mean to say appple didn't steal any software or they won't ? For your info, all the new features what you see in iOOs7 are stolen from Cydia tweaks and from those individuals hard work . Another good example of stealing is map app from google ( which they failed miserable ). Sirri also stolen from google voice search ( the basic idea is from google through its not fully) these are just small examples. Get your fact before talking :). ROFL
It's soooo shitty today already and i'm sure they easily manage to make it even worse... I hope it will drive user satisfaction with our IT down further, so that management will have to admit it was the most ridiculously wrong decision ever to force this toy on our professional users.... Google shall stay with search.
Come on iClarified, make images zoomable. I cant see anything on my iPhone with this responsive design. At least make them clickable or give us an option to open the regilar web site.
