Apple Releases iOS 7.1 With Visual Enhancements, Performance Improvements

Apple has just released iOS 7.1 which brings performance improvements, new call screens and a new power off slider.

What's New In This Version:
CarPlay
- iOS experience designed for the car
- Simply connect your iPhone to a CarPlay enabled vehicle
- Supports Phone, Music, Maps, Messages, and 3rd-party audio apps
- Control with Siri and the car's touchscreen, knobs, and buttons

Siri
- Manually control when Siri listens by holding down the home button while you speak and releasing it when you're done as an alternative to letting Siri automatically notice when you stop talking
- New, more natural sounding male and female voices for Mandarin Chinese, UK English, Australian English, and Japanese

iTunes Radio
- Search field above Featured Stations to easily create stations based on your favorite artist or song
- Buy albums with the tap of a button from Now Playing
- Subscribe to iTunes Match on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to enjoy iTunes Radio ad-free

Calendar
- Option to display events in month view
- Country specific holidays automatically added for many countries

Accessibility
- Bold font option now includes the keyboard, calculator, and many icon glyphs
- Reduce Motion option now includes Weather, Messages, and multitasking UI animations
- New options to display button shapes, darken app colors, and reduce white point

Other
- New Camera setting to automatically enable HDR for iPhone 5s
- iCloud Keychain support in additional countries
- FaceTime call notifications are automatically cleared when you answer a call on another device
- Fixes a bug that could occasionally cause a home screen crash
- Improves Touch ID fingerprint recognition
- Improved performance for iPhone 4
- Fixes display of Mail unread badge for numbers greater than 10,000
- Continued user interface refinements

You can get the update by choosing Software Update from the General Settings menu on your iOS device.

My iPhone 4 is performing better after 7.1 is installed. I can use it till iPhone 6 is out.

Do a full reset not a restore.

And don't restore you backup, check the camera before restoring your backup.

Downloaded IOS 7.1 just fine. Must have the power cable attached. Must have WIFI turned on. I usually wait a few days to download, due to server capacity. This time....it worked!

iphone 5s dead after update, just won't start, it went to reboot and that was it, now what. and never did a`jailbreak to it.

Not sure what you mean. Is it charged? Do you see the apple logo? How did you try updating? If you see the apple logo (but it just continually reboots) Plug into computer. Turn phone on so apple logo booting up Press home and power button count to 10. Let go ONLY the power button. You should be in DFU restore mode. (screen will remain off during this). In iTunes press Restore. (NOT upgrade. Restore) IF phone is not turning on ever then it's probably a battery/hardware issue

Same happened to me, always rebooting in the logo screen, made restore and its fine now, the bad thing was that some footage that i had is now gone forever! Otherwise works great!

Im having problems with downloading it from iTunes. It says the software had problems downloading check your network status... Plz help

Due to heavy downloads occurring at the same time, you will need to re-download later when the Apple servers are not being overused. This happens with every major upgrade from Apple.

Safari still crashes a lot. Ipad air is unusable with Safari or Chrome crashing this much!

Thank God Apple still have the doors for iOS 7.0.6 open, just restored both my iPhone and iPad and now for jailbreaking !!!

I haven't jailbroken my iPhone 5 yet, but I'm running iOS 7.0.6. Will I still be able to jailbreak my iPhone since 7.1 has been released?

As long as you don't update to 7.1, and your device is still on 7.0.6 or below, you'll be able to jailbreak.

you can try, if you upgraded to 7.0.6 OTA ( over the air WiFi ) jail breaking might not work.

oK (aka Grgv) or we can get what some of us miss, I don't miss iOS 6 but I wouldn't mind help making apple drop less users and that's by doing this, if people like iOS 7 bit miss 6 look for example, why not both together, that's why I made the idea.

iOS 6 icons and their built in app designs along with Siri mic... At least add them for better customization then I am settled.
