Some Apple Stores are recognizing World AIDS Day today by changing the color of their store logo to red. MacRumors posted the images below of workers coloring the logo of the Regent Street store in London.
Apple has been a big supporter of the PRODUCT (RED) initiative, selling unique (RED) products and donating a percentage of the profits to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa.
The Global Fund.
Every day 900 babies are born with HIV. (RED) works with companies like Apple to fight for an AIDS‑free generation by creating (PRODUCT)RED merchandise. A percentage of gross profits from the sale of those products goes to the Global Fund to help fund AIDS programs in Africa. Since its introduction, (PRODUCT)RED has generated more than $215 million for the Global Fund — more than $65 million from Apple alone. You can help make an impact by purchasing a (PRODUCT)RED iPod or (PRODUCT)RED accessories for iPhone and iPad.

Recently, Apple SVP Jonathan Ive and Marc Newson, designed numerous products for the (RED) charity auction which raised $12,883,000 USD to benefit The Global Fund.
