Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster is still predicting that Apple will release an Apple television this year.
Munster talked to Bloomberg about his predictions...
The core of the debate is an improved set-top box… a hockey puck that attaches to your TV, or an actual television. Based on our work, in part, with talking to suppliers in asia, to talking with people in the industry, we think its an actual television. Specifically, the basic thing it fixes is the remote control problem… We think fixing that is going to be an important part of it. And the second piece down the road is content, content on demand. That’s essentially what apple television is.
i see alot of people updating there TV to a smart TV so they done need to use a separate device to watch TV. i also love this idea. all in one TV.
cannot wait and hope apple do it soon. as i am in need of a new TV soon. waiting for a nice 4k-8k TV before updating. no point getting a out of date one where spending a extra 1k for a future proof TV that should last the next 5-8 years as the main TV in the house before getting moved rooms.
