Apple updated the iOS App Store to bring back gifting today.

To gift someone an app, simply navigate to its details page and tap the send button at the top right.

You can schedule the gift to arrive on a day of your choice - perhaps Christmas Day.

Why isn't it showing up? The gifting icon is not there. Why not? How do you update the app store?

Hi... the gifted app is free for the receiver? And can the receiver update the app when an update comes..(for free) ..?

No. You have to pay for it if you gift a paid app to someone.

Not for the receiver, just the sender pays. Otherwise it wouldn't have been called 'Gifting'
