TuneIn Radio has been updated for the iPhone 5 with an improved player.
TuneIn is a new way to listen to music, sports and news from every corner of the earth, with over 70,000 radio stations and 2 million on-demand programs. The Pro version of this service lets you record all of this to your iPhone, iPad or iPod.
What's New In This Version: • We've improved our player to bring the world's music, sports and news to you faster. • You can now share your favorite stations with your friends more easily through Facebook (iOS 6 only). • Album artwork and station info now display on your locked screen so you can quickly and easily see what's playing after your phone has gone to sleep. • Have an iPhone 5? TuneIn now fills your entire screen. • Get into the season! Enjoy the holidays with hundreds of Halloween and Christmas stations. • Sports fans, get your game on with all post-season baseball games (including the World Series) and many college bowl games.
You can purchase TuneIn Radio Pro from the App Store for $0.99.
The new TuneIn Pro version sucks! Won't replay old recorded programs, and does not, i highlight DOES NOT record (PERIOD)! Some stations play two different programs (simultaneous broadcasting?) on one wave. So devastated, I wrote complain to the TuneIn Customer Center weeks back, and none is fixed.
Wish I hadn't updated to the new bug fixes, it made it worse,
Not working on iphone 4. It works for little bit and if I stop it, I have to reboot telephone and then reload the app in order to hear something again. I have already reinstalled it and still doing the same exact thing. What happened? This wasn't an issue with the previous version. Something is wrong with this version.
Updated at first time to 3.0. Absolutely useless, recordings updated for ever and playing crashed. Also any new recordings would not play, just went through at fast forward speed. So backdated to 2.8.1 and everything great except lost all my recordings some which I wanted to keep. Saw a new update to 3.1 and took a chance on it but now worse than ever. Existing recordings now start at the beginning evey time instead of where you left them and new recordings now fast forward only. So will have to revert to 2.8.1 again and in the process lose my recordings. Luckily I haven't synced with the update. When are you going to fix this now useless app. Come on guys it was good what have you done.
how do you backdate to an older version of 2.8.1. i am having same problem with my iphone 4. tunein radio will record and recording just fast forwards to the end.
Since I updated I have lost all my recordings, now when I record it cuts out and I don't get 7 hours recording time. 3.0 was the worst update plus if you do record it does not skip the tracks properly. Lucky for me I erased 3.0. Plugged my iPhone into iTunes and put the old version back on. Now all is good. Just ignoring the 3.0 update on my phone. Hopefully this bug will be fixed. Please fix it as this is my best app.
Since I updated it to Version 3.0, it forces wifi connection to drop after 5 minutes! I have to re-start the modem every time. Now, I can't listen to BBC WOrld Service in bed. SO FRUSTRATING. (using ipod touch 3rd gen. iOS 5.1.1)
So I'm not the only one.
When I stream with the new version of tunein for 15-30 minutes, the stream will continue, but open web pages on my iPad stop updating, as if they had lost internet connectivity. All other computers in the house lose their internet connection as well.
But the really odd part is that the tunein stream continues to work, although how long it would do that I'm not sure because I then have to reset the modem and router to get my internet connection back on the other computers in my house and my iPad browser sessions. I've taken to stopping and restarting tunein every so often to avoid this problem.
Also, there have been times when I set up timed recording while I'm not around and when I check the recording later, I find a tunein dialog box that says there was an error that caused the stream to stop.
I wonder how many others have noticed that the latest tunein causes them to lose internet connectivity?
For some reason the rest of my comment disappeared so here goes - the app shuts down after a min or so of live feed. Hope problem will be resolved soon as I truly love this app. Tis my fave app of all!
My daughter apparently updated all of our IPad apps yesterday. The new version of TuneIn Pro crashed like clockwork every 5 minutes when playing a stream. I rebooted and TuneIn now streams longer than 5 minutes. We'll see if it continues to work ... Running 6.0.1.
I have enjoyed using the pro version of Tunein Radio on my iPhone 4 for about a year. In the past few days (since an update, i'm guessing) the app has choppy sound and crashes every few minutes. When do you plan to upload a fixed copy of the software to the App Store? At the moment the app is completely broken.
All my recordings are still updating after 10 minutes- really annoyed after getting up in the middle of the night to record coat to coast, now I can't listen to it! Wish I never updated it!
My radio doesn't crash most of the time but what it is doing now is not saving my recordings to my phone. It appears the shows I am recording are now saved to the mythical "Cloud" because whenever I want to listen to it, it has to buffer and god forbid I want to use another app that uses bandwith because then TuneIn will buffer out or shut off completely.
This was a great app. Now it is crap.
Same problem here with iphone 4s running ios6. TuneIn crashes after 1 min, 17 seconds, repeatedly. Yes, I timed it. Doesn't matter what station. Was working fine before the update of a few days ago. What's going on? Anyone have any suggestions?
This latest update causes constant crashes every few minutes (iPhone 4S). It also says its updating my recordings? But this update seems to take forever to do nothing (10 mins later and nothing has changed, loading circle next to my recordings and can't play them). "Huston we have a problem".
Latest update left "Tunein Radio" nearly useless. It keep closing after a few minutes as other have reported. I thought it might have something to do with the East Coast disaster but it doesn't matter where the station is, same thing happens.
This is a superbad bug. This company has already stopped supporting RedButton software which they bought out. Is the same thing happening with TuneIn Radio?
Since latest update, app now automatically closes itself after a few minutes. Even the recordings can't be played as they are constantly being refreshed? I hope they fix it.
