These are instructions on how to set the type of your iTunes video media as Movies, Music Videos, or TV Shows.
If you important a video file into iTunes it will automatically be placed into the Movies category. This is fine if you have imported a movie; however, if the video file is a Music Video or TV Show you must modify the video type so that iTunes utilizes it correctly. Otherwise when trying to play a Movie from your AppleTV or iPhone you will notice that the Movies category is cluttered with video files that are not Movies.
Step One Launch iTunes by clicking its icon in the dock
Step Two Select Movies from the list of library categories on the left
Step Three Locate a video that has been incorrectly placed in the Movie category then hold down the Control key and click it to bring up the context menu. From this menu click to select Get Info.
Step Four Select the Options tab from the popup window that appears.
Step Five Set the media type of the video using the Media Kind dropdown then click the OK button. In this example, I have selected Music Video as the correct Media Kind.
Step Six Notice that the video has now left the Movies category and can be found in the Music category.
