Pebble Watch May Support iPhone SMS With iOS 6

The hugely successful Pebble watch funded by Kickstarter may now be able to support SMS when connected to an iPhone, thanks to iOS 6, reports RazorianFly.
The original watch description noted that "Android users can also receive Text Messages (SMS) on their Pebble. Unfortunately iPhone does not expose this data."
However, some observant viewers of the WWDC 2012 keynote have noticed that in one of the feature slides Apple indicates that iOS 6 has Bluetooth MAP Support.
The Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) specification allows exchange of messages between devices. Mostly used for automotive hands-free use. The MAP profile can also be used for other uses that require the exchange of messages between two devices.
Responding to the news, Pebble CEO, Eric Migicovsky, wrote:
"It's pretty damn good news! We don't have anything to say yet, but probably more later this summer before Pebble ships."
