Posted June 11, 2012 at 3:10pm by iClarified
Track 8, a metro style music player for iOS, has been updated with support for the iPhone and AirPlay.
Your music library doesn't have to look ordinary. Track 8 brings the Metro experience to your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad with an exciting music player. Browse and play your music in an immersive visual experience of album artwork and artist images.
FEATURES:
♪ Available for your iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad
♪ Explore a clean Metro music interface
♪ View background images of artists from Last.fm
♪ Quickly find and listen to your recently played, new, and most played albums
♪ Customize the appearance of Track 8 to fit your personal style
♪ Enjoy beautiful artist, album, and playlist views
♪ Search for songs at breakneck speeds
♪ Support for iTunes Match
♪ AirPlay support
What's New In This Version:
♪ Track 8 is now a Universal app. Track 8 now works on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.
♪ AirPlay support is now built into the app. When an AirPlay receiver is available, the AirPlay routing button will appear next to the volume slider on the Now Playing Screen.
♪ Long press on the back button to navigate back to the root level of the app.
♪ Track 8 now allows you to restrict downloading artist image backgrounds to WiFi only. This option can be toggled in settings.
FIXES
♪ Text labels with long text no longer clip, they scroll. Magic!
♪ Track 8 now organizes the artists screen by "album artists", instead of just "artists", which reduces issues where a compilation album of many different artists' songs would spam the artists screen with a large number of one-off entries.
♪ Album artwork tiles now respect the aspect ratio of the art. This fixes an issue where non-square album art would look squished.
♪ Touches on the volume slider will no longer "grab" the slider grip unless the touch begins within a certain distance of the grip. This corrects an issue where tapping the volume slider (especially near the edges) could unexpectedly cause a (possibly dramatic) change in volume.
♪ Fixed an issue where albums without titles failed to display "Unknown Album" on their album page.
♪ This update also includes various other bug fixes to improve performance and stability.
You can purchase Track 8 from the App Store for $1.99.
