The iPhone Dev-Team has updated RedSn0w to resolve a problem with MobileSubstrate that occurred when rerunning the jailbreak.

The b3 version of redsn0w fixes a problem where re-running redsn0w over an existing jailbreak would cause MobileSubstrate-based apps to stop running until MS was installed again. Now you can re-run the redsn0w jailbreak step without worrying about that (but still remember to de-select the "Install Cydia" option if it's already installed).

You can download the latest version of redsn0w from here.

You can find instructions on how to use redsn0w to perform an untethered jailbreak using the iClarified Jailbreak Wizard.

My Tomtom uk isn't working just gets stuck on tomtom logo and doesnt load up, also some apps don't even open, is any one else getting the same error

Hi Guys Now i have query related the JB of 5.0.1. I have iPhone 4 with 5.0.1 and modem firmware 4.11.08 installed now when i try to JB my device using Redsn0w 0.9.10b3 it give me error during "First stage Uploading" and Redsn0w crashes with unexpected error, i need help i am using Windows Xp i have tried both run as Administrator & changed processor Affinity from CPU 1 to CPU 0 but same result... Need help i am trying to find solution for past 42 hrs .... without JB iPhone is like bird in a cage Thanks in advance for help

Just downgraded to 4.3.3. nothing is working on 5.0.1. All sources are not working sinful which is my favorite source isn't working nothing is comparable with 5.0 any ways like cydia apps. I am going to use 4.3.3 unitll everything is updated on cydia... Because right now its all messed up Also why can't jailbreak with my macbook pro ? Redsn0w 10B3 couldn't go beyond patch kenel it stops galway then it crashes..I had to use my other laptop WIN7..???

dont upgrade if you dont want to.. so many repositories out there..not just sinful..i see that xsellize is awesome though..and mine working like charm until i wrote this.

Sinful repo works they just moved it due to some issue. The other repos work fine as well but they are slow because of the increased traffic. Redsn0w for mac work fine for me (MacBook air). If b3 doesn't work try b2 and then just install mobile substrate again.

For some reason I can't jailbreak using my Macbook Pro.. it stops at patching Kernel.Halfway ...none of them work B1,B2 or B3.. I have no idea why... Also my safari wouldn't t open anymore either.. I think this jailbreak it is not stable at all...remember when Geohot made jailbreak that shit was working properly on first try... By the way what happened to sinful? where did they move? thanks

Update..... Well i was succesfull in jailbreaking my iphone 4 using my macbook pro......... I did what u did, i upgraded ti 5.0.1 through my iphone and when jailbreaking it didn not ask for the ipsw i only had to run redsnow b3 TWICE i dont know why twice but it worked, once u see that pineapple everything was good..... It did take twice to do it though, first time when it disnt work the kernel took forever to move from 35% i thought it wasnt gonna move from there..... The second time i tried it was really fast.... I hope u can jailbreak urs!!! :) jailbreakin is awesome shit!!!

Has anyone had the same problem? When I upgraded from 5.0 to 5.0.1 untethered it wouldn't let me restore my back up and the restore and update in iTunes is gray'd out. I have never seen this before...

yes I faced the same issue and I was shocked :D but no worries all u hv to do is to wait and don't unplug and don't close itunes while u r doing the restore, till everything is finished and the lock screen is show up on ur iphone, then Itunes will automatically ask u if u want to restore ur previous or ur last saved backup

Almost all the good apps not working my3g.. For instance sinfuliphonerepo Not working dev ultraniw not showing had to use different Source to activate it.. Loading sources not working I'm going back to 4.3.3 until all this mess is sor it out

mmmmm question...why would someone rerun redsn0w over a existing jailbreak? can you update to 5.0.1 in redsn0w without losing your tweeks, etc? that would be the only reason outside of a mistake that I could think of someone doing this...

All I did was: 1. Install iBooks through the App Store 2. Copy iBooks.app from /var/mobile/Applications/(iBook's coded folder)/ to /Applications using iFile (available in cydia) 3. If u get the ibooks error delete ibooks then reinstall but dont open it. In Cydia add this source. repo.insanelyi.com. Then d/l ibooksfix 2 and it should work then. U can either keep or delete the source after that. It took me a while to d/l the source.
