A new 9to5Mac report suggests the next generation iPhone will come in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB storage capacities.
We are now hearing that this new iPhone will come in three storage capacities. Given that we've also heard from manufacturing sources that Apple has at least been prototyping 64GB versions of the new iPhone, we would say it's fairly likely that Apple's new iPhone will come in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB capacities; just like the iPad. In all fairness, it is also plausible that the new iPhone will come in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities, but the appearance of a tweaked iPhone 4 (N90A) seems to refute that.
Apple is expected to ship all three capacities in both black and white.
Back in March, M.I.C. Gadget posted a hands on video with a 64GB iPhone 4 'engineering prototype' obtained from the grey market in Hong Kong.
I've heard that the iPhone5 will be nuclear powered and the touch screen will have the ability to suck your soul out through your finger tips if you dont treat it with the respect it deserves.
Who needs a 64 Gig? I have a 32 gig I have over 130 videos over 2000 pics every paid apps you can imagine.. I still have 16 gig left..
Plus lot of people don't realize when you fill your phone it runs way too slow
As far as price concern too its probably going to be $499 w a contract $900 w/o..
I think its way off on this rumor...
I've recently culled my apps from 540 down to 384, but that still only leaves me 8gb for music. With apps often taking up 4-500mb 32gb just isn't enough for some of us anymore.
I could use more than 64GB, way more. Realistically, I could easily use 2-3TB. However with what the price would be, I'll take 64GB.
As it is with 32GB, I keep my photos on my iPad only (except my camera roll), and most games I only keep on my iPad. My 64GB is full, and I don't put music on it (except for just a bit, just in case).
My iPod is filled mostly with music, while my iPad is filled mostly with videos and photos.
And iCloud isn't going to help. As Thebasa mentions, iCloud is going to make me want to have more storage, not less.
I think this rumor is way off the mark. With the release of iCloud and the need for less storage releasing a device with more storage doesn't seem to make sense.
icloud does not stream. 64gb is more important with icloud and itunes match as the music will get upgraded to 256 aac, and require more phone disk space when downloaded to the device.
