Sonos today introduced Sonos System Software 3.4, a free software update that adds more music and more features to the Sonos music experience. Sonos 3.4 makes it easy to play Apple AirPlay music sources all over the home, and adds support for Apple iPad and Apple iPhone multitasking and Sonos Controller for Android.
"The cool AirPlay feature for music is sending a song from an iOS device to a speaker or receiver," said John MacFarlane, founder and CEO, Sonos, Inc. "Today Sonos improves the AirPlay experience with party mode so a modern music lover can send a song from his iPhone or iPad to all the rooms in a home with perfect synchronization."

Sorry, but this article has some serious errors. CasaTunes uses the same technique to play Airplay music throughout the house as Sonos (i.e., they are not the only ones).
AND, CasaTunes has had the ability to play multiple songs from your iTunes library in different rooms at the same time for years!
Best of all, you can plug multiple iPods or iPhones into the CasaTunes server at the same time and play different songs from each of them (and multiple songs from any of them) at the same time in different room.
Plus, CasaTunes has the ability (and always has) of setting up more than just one party group. You can combine your rooms into as many different room groups as you wish!!
Plus, CasaTunes was the first multi-room company with an Android control app and it works on Tablets (Sonos' does not).
