In recognition of Global Accessibility Awareness Day, Apple has highlighted select iOS apps in the App Store. The curates section features nineteen different apps including Instapaper, djay 2, BrainPop and more.
Global Accessibility Awareness Day began in 2012 and is held every third Thursday in May. The purpose of the day is to "get people talking, thinking and learning about digital (web, software, mobile, etc.) accessibility and users with different disabilities." Apple has often been praised for its excellent integration of accessibility support and features throughout iOS, so it comes as no surprise to see them highlighting different apps that leverage such features.
