Voici les instructions pour jailbreaker votre iPhone 4 sous l’IOS 5.0b4 en utilisant RedSn0w pour MAC. Tant que l’iOS 5.0 ne sera pas sorti, ce sont des instructions pour les développeurs uniquement. Cette procédure va vous forcer à mettre-à-jour votre baseband et ne vous permettra peut être pas de désimlocker votre téléphone et ne vous permettra pas de l’activer donc vous devez absolument enregistrer votre UDID avec un développeur. Votre jailbreak sera Tethered (l’iPhone ne redémarrera pas tout seul en cas d’extinction).

Si vous voulez jailbreaker une version de firmware antérieure, vous pourrez le tutorial approprié ici.

Première étape
Créer un répertoire Pwnage sur votre bureau.

Télécharger RedSn0w ici et le placer dans le repertoire Pwnage. De même, télécharger la dernière version de firmware 5.0b4 présente dans le centre de développement d’iOS et le placer dans le même répertoire.

5.0b4: iPhone3,1_5.0_9A5274d_Restore.ipsw

Extraire le fichier zip RedSn0w en double cliquant dessus.

Deuxième étape
Connecter votre iPhone à l’ordinateur et lancer Itunes.

Sélectionner votre iPhone parmi la liste des appareils sur la gauche. Presser et maintenir enfoncé le bouton Option (Mac) et cliquer sur le bouton Restorer. La restauration est préférable car elle ne créera pas de perte d’espace sur votre iPhone.

Naviguer dans le repertoire Pwnage sur le bureau et sélectionner le firmware 5.0b4 ipsw. Cliquer sur le bouton Sélectionner pour continuer.

Troisième étape
Dès que Itunes aura fini la mise-à-jour de votre iPhone à la version désirée, ouvrir le répertoire Pwnage sur le bureau et lancer l’application redsn0w présente dans le répertoire redsn0w qu’on a extrait précédemment.

Quatrième étape
Une fois Redsn0w ouvert, cliquer sur le bouton Parcourir.

Cinquième étape
Sélectionner le firmware 5.0b4 ipsw place dans le repertoire Pwnage sur le bureau et cliquer sur Ouvrir.

Sixième étape
Une fois le firmware vérifié, cliquer sur le bouton Suivant pour continuer.

Septième étape
RedSn0w va alors préparer les données de jailbreak.

Huitième étape
Sur cette fenêtre, vous pouvez sélectionner les options de jailbreak que vous voulez.

Vérifier que Cydia est sélectionné et cliquer sur le bouton Suivant pour continuer.

Neuvième étape
Connecter votre iPhone à l’ordinateur en vérifiant qu’il est bien éteint et cliquer sur le bouton Suivant.

Dixième étape
RedSn0w va maintenant vous guider à travers les différentes étapes permettant de mettre votre iPhone en mode DFU. Vous trouverez plus d’aide sur le mode DFU ici.

Maintenir enfoncé les boutons Home et Power pendant 10 secondes.

Relacher le bouton Power tout en maintenant l’appui sur le bouton Home jusqu’à ce que RedSn0w détecte l’appareil.

Onzième étape
Votre iPhone va alors redémarrer.

Douxième étape
RedSn0w va alors commencer à télécharger le nouveau Ram disque ainsi que le noyau.

Treizième étape
Une fois cette étape terminée, vous serez averti que RedSn0w est terminé. Cliquer sur le bouton Finish.
Quand votre iPhone aura fini son redémarrage (5 minutes environ), il sera jailbreaké avec Cydia sur son SpringBoard.

BOOT TETHERED (En cas d’extinction de l’iPhone)
Une fois avoir terminé le jailbreak, si votre iPhone s’éteint, vous aurez besoin de relancer redsn0w et de sélectionner Just boot tethered right now au lieu de réinstaller Cydia.

Hey, I have my iPhone 4 GSM on 4.3.5 with Gevey, I want to put it on 5.0 (without jailbreak) but I can't do it like in the tutorial. iTunes gives me the "not ilegible" message or anther 1XXX error. I've tried downloading from different sources, using Tinyumbrella, different versions of RedSn0w, updating iTunes from 10.5.0 to 10.5.1... everything but I just can't. Any suggestions?

Use tinyumbrella and uncheck "Set hosts to Cydia on exit."

I upgraded to IOS 5.0 keeping my baseband 0f 4.10.? and unlocked using Redsn0w. I downloaded a program from Cydia. When installing, the phone never turned back on. It got stuck with the Apple logo on. I attempted to use TinyUmbrella to get it out of restore state. That didn't work, so I tried to restore in iTunes using the custom ispw that I had previously upgraded to 5.O on. I received an error message (1600) that my phone could not be restored. I attempted to jailbreak and install Cydia again. It went through all the steps and said it was done, but I am stuck with a black screen with a bunch of steps ending on :Applem2ScalerCSCDriver:Added framebuffer device: AppleCLCD id: c7da5000 with the curser on the next line. How can I get my phone working again?

I seem to be striking out. I jail broke my phone with the latest version of redsn0w and I downloaded an SMS tone in Cydia and when it rebooted it put me into safe mode. I tried exiting safe mode, which put me right back in it. I tried re-jailbreaking and got the same result. I even tried restoring my phone and iTunes gave me an error and left me still in safe mode. I am at a total loss. Please help if you can

By safe mode, do you mean DFU? If you only get as far as the Apple logo, use redsn0w and click "Just Boot."

I downloaded an SMS tone in Cydia and on the reboot (which I did tethered) it put my phone in safe mode and I cant get out of it. PLEASE HELP!

If you find yourself in safe mode, just tap on the "safe mode" text at the top of you phone. You should be given a choice to reboot your phone. You can try jailbeaking again. They released the a new RedSn0w yesteday, so perhaps it will work better for you. Issues after jailbreak: Can't connect to Youtube, Push Notifications keep popping up for every app, some apps from 4.0+ won't work.

That's odd. It works fine for me. Try a tethered boot again to see if it clears up your issue. Many people forget to do this after the jailbreak. Otherwise, try jailbreaking again with the new version of RedSn0w that was just release. The notes said you can rejailbreak on top of the existing jailbreak.

So I was able to Jailbreak but when I installed Cyntact or SBS Settings and I need to reboot my device, it gets stuck on the boot screen..halp!!!

Hey! I jailbreaked and installed Cydia with no problems at all. However, I'm stuck in Safe Mode. I haven't installed anything in Cydia yet to cause these problems. Anyone with similar problems?

You are incorrect about what a tethered jailbreak is. The only time you need to tethered to a computer is when you reboot or shutdown your iPhone. I don't know about you, but I never need to do that in my day to day life. Tethered jailbreak works perfectly fine. Please go read up on it and understand it a bit more.

follow but after u restart yr phone the cydia not able to launch again and afffected the safari and email.... i this the jailbreak release is still not complete update... just wait for a stable version then jb agian :D

first open up redsn0w and put ur iphone in pwned DFU mode, now open up tinyubrella and start the TSS server. Now download the 4.3.5 IPSW and shift click on itunes to restore. when you get the conncet to itunes you will need to install cydia under redsn0w 0.9.8b4. in order to install you MUST download the 4.3.4 IPSW and jailbreak/tethered boot with it, remeber NOT 4.3.5 IPSW, but 4.3.4 instead.

Yes they do work, just make sure once you jailbreak you first install Installous, if you have the apps in itunes

Ran the jailbreak and booted it tethered. None of my apps would load except for cydia lol Had to restore. Thus the life of a jailbreaker.
