Đây là hướng dẫn cách jailbreak iPhone 3GS và iPhone 4 sử dụng Limera1n dành cho Mac. Limera1n hỗ trợ IOS 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2 và 4.1. Bạn có thể tìm thấy phiên bản Windows của hướng dẫn này ở đây.

Hãy nhớ rằng: Không nên update iphone của bạn lên IOS 4,1 nếu bạn muốn unlock iphone sau đó. Hiện giờ Ultrasn0w không hỗ trợ cho baseband phiên bản IOS 4.1.Tuy nhiên với Iphone 4, bạn có thể update lên IOS 4.1 mà không cần nâng cấp baseband. Bạn làm theo hướng dẫn này.

Bước 1
mở trang web này rahttp://www.limera1n.com. Nhấn vào biều tượng Mac phía dưới màn hình.

Bước 2
Tải/lưu ứng dụng vào máy

Bước 3
nhấp đúp chuột vào file limera1n.zip để trích xuất ứng dụng, sau đó nhấp đúp chuột vào ứng dụng đó để bắt đầu.

Bước 4
Kết nối Iphone vào máy tính và nhấp chuột vào ô make it ra1n.

Bước 5
Iphone của bạn sẽ đặc trong chế độ phục hồi (recovery mode).

Nhấn giữ cả 2 nút Nguồn(power) và Nút Home.

Khi Limera1n yêu cầu, bạn thả nút nguồn ra.

Iphone của bạn sẽ ở chế độ DFU

Trong lúc limera1n jailbreak bạn sẽ thấy hình giọt nước màu xanh lá cây trên Iphone.

Limera1n sẽ cho bạn biết khi nào hoàn thành

Bước 6
Sau khi limera1n báo Done.. bạn khởi động Iphone, trên màn bạn sẽ thấy một biểu tượng có tên limera1n màu trắng.. bấm vào nó để tiếp tục.

Step Seven
Khi Limera1n được mở, bấm chọn nút Cydia sau đó bấm nút Install phía trên tay phải của màn hình.

Bước 8
Khi việc cài đặt Cydia đã xong.. bạn phải khởi động lại Iphone.

Step Nine
Khi Iphone đã khởi động bạn có thể chạy ứng dụng Cydia. hãy để nó cập nhật tất cả những gì cần thiết. Bạn có thể bấm vào hướng dẫn này để Unlock.

CHÚ Ý*: Muốn loại bỏ biểu tượng limera1n khỏi Iphone, bạn có thể chạy ứng dụng limera1n và bấm nút Uninstall Limera1n. hay có thể cài CyDelete từ Cydia để xoá bỏ ứng dụng này.

I tried to jailbreak my iPhone 4 with 4.0.2 and 1.59.0 but each time I get the message Retry Hold Home and Power. I think it has to do with the fact that iTunes starts each time saying that it detected an iPhone in Recovery mode. Any idea what I can do? Thanks

Tried limera1n against 3GS 4.0.2 new bootrom 5.13.04 baseband. Appeared to work fine but after boot the limera1n icon did not show. Tried many times to no avail. I finally did a factory reset (erased all data/settings) from the phone and after boot the limera1n icon showed up. Just wanted to point this out just in case anyone is running into same problem

I tried on 3gs 4.0.2 5.13 couple of times on PC but the Limera1n would not install on the phone, then factory reset the phone and ran Limera1n and was successfull, now downloading Cydia. Excellent utility, keep it up.

I'm in the same situation -- I need to jb and unlock a 4.0.2 on a 3GS/old bootrom and Limera1n acts like it's installing but no icon ever shows up. But I'm afraid to do a "factory reset" -- what iOS does it reset to? Do I risk losing my 5.13.04 baseband?

I have an iPhone 4 4.0.1 upgraded to 4.1 using TU and use limera1n to JB got the drop in the screen and the done message, however can't get it on the springboard at all. Any suggestions please!

Worked great the first time on my iPhone 4. Thanks, geohot! I was jailbroken on iOS 4.0.1, then upgraded to OS 4.1 by way of TinyUmbrella/TSS Server, so as to keep the baseband unchanged and to be able to unlock my iPhone 4, which also worked just fine. My iPad is ready for 4.2 now. ;)

I have a 3GS with 4.1 that I installed today. I am also running iTunes 10.0.1 (22) on the mac. I can't get this to work. It gets into DFU mode but then just sits there. iTunes opens in the background saying there is aphone in recovery mode.

Ok, so I am an idiot! I hate the fact that the 3G and 3GS look totally the same! I had gotten what I thought was a 3GS from a friend of mine and he gave me the wrong one. Sure enough a check of the serial number and its the 3G! Getting the 3GS and retrying!

It's work perfect thanks, but I have problem with my voicemail. I can't receive voicemails I have to call my virtual voicemail to check if I have voicemail. Any idea? Thanks

This is exactly like the PC version.. everything goes exactly to plan through Step 5 (dfu mode, the limera1n logo, the message that the jailbreak is ready...) But no icon in Step 6. /3gs, 4.0.2, 05.13.04, never jailbroken --- Any ideas?

Make sure you are using iTunes 10.0 or newer version. Leave it open and just ignore messages about finding an iPhone in recovery mode.

Also reboot (not restart) your iPhone before trying again if it doesn't work. You'll know that the exploit was transfered to the iPhone when you see the green teardrop before the lock screen.

it Only works with iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. Please READ the instruction in the tutorial.

I think you upgrade to 4.1 (losing the jailbreak me) and then jailbreak agin with Limra1n
