Estas são instruções de como fazer o jailbreak de seu iPhone 3GS e iPhone 4 utilizando o Limera1n para Mac. Limera1n suporta iOS 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.0.2 e 4.1. Você pode encontrar a versão do tutorial para Windows aqui.

Lembre-se: Não atualize para iOS 4.1 se você precisa do unlock. Ultrasn0w não suporta o baseband ainda. A única excessão é o iPhone 4. Você pode atualizar para iOS 4.1 sem fazer o upgrade do baseband, seguindo este tutorial.

Passo um
Abra seu navegador web de sua preferência e vá até http://www.limera1n.com. Clique na logo do Mac no final da tela.

Passo dois
Quando perguntado, salve seu download no desktop

Passo três
Dê um duplo-clique no arquivo zip do limera1n.zip a partir do seu desktop e extraia a aplicação, então dê um duplo-clique nele para executá-lo.

Passo quatro
Conecte seu iPhone ao computador e clique no grande botão make it ra1n

Passo cinco
Seu iPhone será colocado no modo de recovery.

Pressione ambos os botões Power e Home.

Quando o Limera1n pedir, solte o botão Power.

Seu fone está agora no modo DFU

Conforme o Limera1n realiza o jailbreak, você vai ver a imagem do lime raindrop no seu iPhone.

Limera1n o avisará quando ele tiver terminado.

Passo seis
Depois de você ligar a energia no seu iPhone você vai ver um novo ícone no SpringBoard chamado limera1n. Pressione ele para continuar.

Passo sete
Quando o Limera1n abrir, selecione Cydia e então pressione o botão Install no topo direito da tela.

Passo oito
Quando a instalação do Cydia tiver completada você precisa reiniciar seu iPhone.

Passo nove
Quando seu iPhone tiver reiniciado, você pode rodar o Cydia. Deixe-o fazer todos as atualizações necessárias e então siga o tutorial para Unlock se possível para seu dispositivo.

NOTA*: Para remover o ícone limera1n do seu desktop você pode re-executar a aplicação e clicar no botão Uninstall Limera1n ou instale o CyDelete do Cydia então utilize-o para apagar a aplicação.

I tried to jailbreak my iPhone 4 with 4.0.2 and 1.59.0 but each time I get the message Retry Hold Home and Power. I think it has to do with the fact that iTunes starts each time saying that it detected an iPhone in Recovery mode. Any idea what I can do? Thanks

Tried limera1n against 3GS 4.0.2 new bootrom 5.13.04 baseband. Appeared to work fine but after boot the limera1n icon did not show. Tried many times to no avail. I finally did a factory reset (erased all data/settings) from the phone and after boot the limera1n icon showed up. Just wanted to point this out just in case anyone is running into same problem

hello i have an iphone 4 and i did jailbreak my iphone and thats working well but my icons in desktop are whit!!! please tell me what do i have to do thanks

I tried on 3gs 4.0.2 5.13 couple of times on PC but the Limera1n would not install on the phone, then factory reset the phone and ran Limera1n and was successfull, now downloading Cydia. Excellent utility, keep it up.

I'm in the same situation -- I need to jb and unlock a 4.0.2 on a 3GS/old bootrom and Limera1n acts like it's installing but no icon ever shows up. But I'm afraid to do a "factory reset" -- what iOS does it reset to? Do I risk losing my 5.13.04 baseband?

I have an iPhone 4 4.0.1 upgraded to 4.1 using TU and use limera1n to JB got the drop in the screen and the done message, however can't get it on the springboard at all. Any suggestions please!

Worked great the first time on my iPhone 4. Thanks, geohot! I was jailbroken on iOS 4.0.1, then upgraded to OS 4.1 by way of TinyUmbrella/TSS Server, so as to keep the baseband unchanged and to be able to unlock my iPhone 4, which also worked just fine. My iPad is ready for 4.2 now. ;)

I have a 3GS with 4.1 that I installed today. I am also running iTunes 10.0.1 (22) on the mac. I can't get this to work. It gets into DFU mode but then just sits there. iTunes opens in the background saying there is aphone in recovery mode.

Ok, so I am an idiot! I hate the fact that the 3G and 3GS look totally the same! I had gotten what I thought was a 3GS from a friend of mine and he gave me the wrong one. Sure enough a check of the serial number and its the 3G! Getting the 3GS and retrying!

It's work perfect thanks, but I have problem with my voicemail. I can't receive voicemails I have to call my virtual voicemail to check if I have voicemail. Any idea? Thanks

This is exactly like the PC version.. everything goes exactly to plan through Step 5 (dfu mode, the limera1n logo, the message that the jailbreak is ready...) But no icon in Step 6. /3gs, 4.0.2, 05.13.04, never jailbroken --- Any ideas?

Make sure you are using iTunes 10.0 or newer version. Leave it open and just ignore messages about finding an iPhone in recovery mode.

Also reboot (not restart) your iPhone before trying again if it doesn't work. You'll know that the exploit was transfered to the iPhone when you see the green teardrop before the lock screen.

it Only works with iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. Please READ the instruction in the tutorial.

I think you upgrade to 4.1 (losing the jailbreak me) and then jailbreak agin with Limra1n
