Shipping estimates for the new iPhone 6 Plus have slipped to 3-4 weeks in the United States.
Pre-orders for the device were to launch at 12:01 AM PST today; however, server issues prevented most users from being Apple to place an hour in the first or two.
Meanwhile, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 appears to be in-stock with a scheduled delivery date of September 19th.
It's likely that the supply of the iPhone 6 Plus was limited; however, demand for the device may have been higher as well. Let us know which size you went for in the comments!
This is so f*cking bullsh*t, man! Every year like this, I preorder either on Friday or Saturday and I didn't the phone until the end of October! Is it made to orders or what?!? If the Note 4 and Note 4 Edge are out in 2 weeks, I might think about those 2!
Ordered the 6+, 128, silver at 1.30 said 19/9 - 23/9 but the confirmation email says ships in 3-4 weeks.
A friend ordered at 1.43 same phone same size got a reservation email for 19/9 - 23/9!
This is ridiculous!
iPhone 6 gold 64 gb. I felt like the plus might be too big. Canada website wasn't working all night. Apple store app was working though, thankfully. getting it sept 19-23.
12:01 PT Logged into ATT - site wasn't available
12:05 ATT allowed me to start order (ship time of 7days)
12:09 Timed Out and made me start over
12:13 Order Complete - ship time of 14-21 days
12:20 Email Confirmation - ship estimate of 10/14-10/21
Really? Ordered iPhone+ 128 Space Gray within 12 minutes!!!
They moved to a larger phone to meet customer demands but didn't think the supply was needed to meet the demand???
AT&T site wasn't up till 3:40am EST/12:40 PT. So your midnight purchase is irrelevant. I ordered at 3:47 EST and mine will be here on Sept 19. 6 with 128.
Ordered iPhone 6 space grey 128gb x2 unlocked tmobile versions over the phone at 1:25pst with delivery on launch day no problem.
Thier was no option online until about 3:00am
For tmobile.
I tried to get through on apple and att on my computer, att was too buggy and wouldn't go through, apples online store never came online, I had to order through the apple store app, but by 3:30am eastern the first shipment was already sold out and it said I'd get my iPhone between oct 1 and 6th.
At 3:30AM EST the no one was selling phones. They all delayed till 3:40 for Verzion and AT&T. Apple didn't come up for almost an hour later. Looks like your clock was wrong.
Tried ordering last night on both iPhone and MacBook for 30 mins. Both Apple store and AT&T was down. Checked Tmobile and Sprint and they were down. Only Verizon was up and running at midnight. Finally got through the AT&T store. Ordered iPhone 6 Plus 64GB in space gray. Got email this morning with expected ship dates October 12-22. Apparently, priority of manufacturing went to 4.7 not 5.5.
I waited the countdown on both Apple thru my iPad and Att and in both I preorder Gold 64 Plus in one and Slate 128 Plus on the other, exactly at 3:05 AM EST. The 4.7 one still have delivery time of next Friday.
I hate when they do this. It sucks that it have to wait so long. They should just have them ready. Whatever. Ill just wait a month or so. I'll get it by Christmas for sure.
It would be really nice to have a modern iPhone that fits in your hand and your pocket. Since Apple is abandoning customers who actually *want* a phone that *is* the right size (Jobs was dead right on this!), I'll pass on both the 6 and its even more plus-sized alternative, especially as they've both got camera warts. Apple has lost its way and is desperately chasing poor completion rather than doing any more real innovating. Both iPhone 6's are utter FAIL, by any standard of the old Apple. C'mon Apple, would it have killed you to make an A8-powered phone the size of the iPhone5?
Got an iPhone 6 Plus on Verizon. Spent 2 hours trying over and over again every 15 minutes until the server issue was fixed. What a pain in the butt that was. At least I can pick it up on the 19th in-store. (Didn't choose shipping because shipping was already 3-4 weeks out.)
