Apple has released Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.2, bringing new features and enhancements to streamline video editing on the tablet.
The update introduces support for portrait orientation, allowing editors to work seamlessly in a vertical layout on their iPad. New keyboard shortcuts enable faster workflows, including options to nudge selections, replace clips with gaps, and lift or overwrite to the primary storyline. With Image Playground, powered by Apple Intelligence, users can generate stylized images from text descriptions, suggested concepts, or Photos library selections, though this requires an iPad with A17 Pro or M1 and later running iPadOS 18.2 or higher. Additionally, the update adds 50 fps capture support, offering more flexibility for editing and final delivery.
