Apple has released Final Cut Pro 11.1 for Mac, bringing new features and refinements to its professional video editing software. The update enhances workflows and introduces tools like adjustment clips and Image Playground integration for users on macOS 15.2 or later.
Editors can now apply color corrections and effects across multiple clips using a new adjustment clip feature positioned above the timeline. For those with M1 or later Macs running macOS 15.2, Image Playground leverages Apple Intelligence to generate stylized images from text descriptions, suggested concepts, or Photos library selections. Magnetic Mask workflows see significant improvements, including bug fixes, better performance, and a new keyboard shortcut to toggle the Magnetic Mask Editor. Audio enhancements include the Quantec QRS effect, which delivers realistic reverb simulating natural acoustic spaces. Additionally, editors can now rename audio effects in the inspector for better organization, reveal multicam angles or synced clips in the browser, and manage timeline markers by dragging them within or out of clips.
