Impostare la chat di Facebook in iChat

Queste sono le istruzioni per impostare iChat per scambiare messaggi con i contatti di Facebook

Step Uno
Clicca per lanciare iChat dal dock o dalla cartella Applicazioni.

Step Due
Selezionare Preferenze... dal menu di iChat.

Step Tre
Clicca per selezionare il pannello Accounts e poi clicca il pulsante + sulla parte inferiore della finestra per aggiungere un nuovo account.

Step Quattro
Alla voce Tipo di Account seleziona Jabber dal menu a tendina.

Inserisci il tuo Nome Utente come segue: nomeutente@chat.facebook.com sostituendo a "nomeutente" il tuo nome utente/vanityname. Per esempio: iclarified@chat.facebook.com. Dopo, inserisci la tua password all'interno del campo Password .

Espandi le Opzioni Server ed inserisci il seguente Server: chat.facebook.com . Inserisci poi 5222 nel campo "Port", come indicato in figura.

Clicca sul pulsante Done per continuare. Vedrai un nuovo account elencato sulla parte sinistra della finestra.

Step Cinque
Adesso sei pronto ad accedere ed utilizzare iChat per comunicare con i tuoi contatti di Facebook!

in username.!!?? i have to put for example my email is jean_108@hot... i have to put jean_108@chat.face....????

Wait, so is our email address that we use to sign into facebook our 'username' or is our username on our computer

@Eric - This does work. Maybe you can't follow instructions.
@Anthony - This is your facebook username. This is not the email address you log in with. You can choose your facebook username at http://www.facebook.com/username/

This did not say that you have to go to facebook and set it up. You have to set a username plus click on another link. I followed all the instructions given here. Then found the rest of the instructions from Facebook. It works now, but I'm not liking iChat, Adium is better IMHO.

It's not working for me, not recognizing my password from FB!!!!! I went in and created a username in FB and did the steps here mentioned but to no avail.

Did the same as Miguel and it spits at me when I enter my facebook password. Wonder why that is. Everything else is set up correctly.

OR download Adium and just log in.
