What do you mean? You can't put any Telnet client, nor have terminal and unix commands to telnet? Why would they do that. What is the ssh2 trick? Is there a better solution to use telnet, ssh, scp and ftp on iOS ? Oh, and any way to run iPerf on iOS ?
After installing for example iSSH (telnet client) on device with ver 8.1.2 iOS you can't telnet on localhost, or - generally - on this device with real IP address. Apple blocked local telnet just in previous version of iOS, but there was a little trick to made a workaround: copy ssh definitions in /etc/services to ssh2 (and renumber ssh port from 22 to for example 52222). With 8.1.2 version of iOS this workaround is not good.
