Posted November 6, 2014 at 6:09am by iClarified
The PanguTeam has released Pangu8 1.2.1, an updated version of their utility to jailbreak iOS 8.0 - 8.1.

Here's what's new...

Version 1.2.1 - (2014.11.06)
1. Integrate with Cydia 1.1.16 (Cydia fixed boot issue when using "Restore from Backup" feature)

Cydia 1.1.16 resolved the iOS 8 "Restore from Backup" issue, increased iOS 8 multitask timeout, improved App Store redirect block, and fixed the login dialog on iPad.

You can download the latest version of the Pangu Jailbreak utility from here. If you haven't jailbroken already, you can find instructions on how to do so via the iClarified Jailbreak Wizard.

Has anyone else had a problem with their springboard with this release? All of my 'quick access' apps (at the bottom of my springboard) are GONE! Kaput. I have no clue how to restore it. I've seen no comments about the issue or any attempts to rectify it.

For whom may concern: If you already jailbreak no need to jb again. Just open Cydia and refresh, then update your Pangu package.

True you can just upgrade in Cydia. But Cydia not always can fix everything so I prefer doing it the right way and while it's still possible restore to a fresh iOS 8.1 and re jailbreak.

Sorry I wrote that I shouldn't have still beta testing, it's just that to me it looked like everything works as it should so I was sure it was out ( my mistake ) I guess they are waiting for Jay ( Saurik ) to finish with his work and give the OK.
