We've seen many leaked parts from the rumored iPhone 6, and this time we have purported front panels for the 4.7-inch model. The photos show both the white and black front glass panels for the phone and how much more display space customers will get when the phone launches this fall.
One thing to note is that the glass is curved/tapered towards the bottom, suggesting that the iPhone 6 will indeed have rounded corners. Bloomberg was the first to report that Apple's next iPhone would launch with displays that curved downward in both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch sizes.
The leaked panels also shows the white front panel camera hole above the earpiece, similar to the iPhone 5/5s, however the black panel has the camera hole to the left of the earpiece similar to the iPhone 4/4s. One of the holes could also be for a proximity sensor of some sort.
Today another report claimed that the leaks we have seen only offer a 'rough' idea of what the iPhone 6 will look like. It went on to claim that the final design has a curved display near the edges creating a seamless transition from the aluminum to the display as well as modified antenna breaks on the rear casing
The iPhone 6 is expected to be unveiled this fall with in both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes, however the 5.5-inch model may receive exclusive features such as optical image stabilization and 128GB of storage. The device is rumored to feature a 1704 x 960 resolution display, A8 processor, an improved camera, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and more.
If you don't like it don't buy it. Nobody's forcing you. I have a feeling they'll still make a smaller screened version also for people that don't like the bigger screens.
Would it be possible that you can't see the camera hole in the black panel cause it's black, and it only sticks out in the white panel cause it's black? Unless the camera hole is that hole to the left of the speaker for both panels. I highly doubt they'd put the camera in different places for the iPhone 6 white and black models.
I think the holes next to the speaker is for the camera since they're bigger than the ones above. Which are the sensors. The sensor on white models have always been more visible than on the black model. They look real to me but there's always the possibility that these are fake and what has been used on the mockup models that have been floating around. If they are real it's kind of cool that the glass is somewhat rounded on the edges and forms a completely rounded edge going from the glass into the body of the phone. It's little details like that that separate apples style from the others. It's nerve racking always having to wait a whole year to see what they'll come up with next. Apples iPhone and iPad keynotes and WWDC are just like waiting for Christmas when I was younger. September can't come soon enough.
Hahaha, yeah, I wait for WWDC religiously. And I get lucky cause September is my birth month so I get to get the latest Apple product for my birthday every time lol
