Display specifications for Apple's rumored foldable iPhone have allegedly been leaked by Digital Chat Station.
In a post on Weibo today, the leaker reveals screen sizes and resolutions for both the inner and outer display, as well as details about the embedded cameras.
----- Here's a major exclusive scoop on Apple's foldable device:
Inner display – approximately 7.76 inches, 2713×1920 resolution, with under-display camera technology
Outer display – approximately 5.49 inches, 2088×1422 resolution, with a punch-hole display design -----
Digital Chat Station's latest leak tweaks earlier specs for Apple's foldable iPhone, nudging the inner display size from 7.74 inches to 7.76 inches while keeping the outer screen at 5.49 inches. The small bump aligns closely with past posts from the leaker. Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities, has shared similar numbers, pegging the inner display at 7.8 inches and the outer one at 5.5 inches for the rumored device.
The hinge for Apple's foldable iPhone will reportedly use metallic glass, a detail backed by leaks from Instant Digital and Ming-Chi Kuo. This material, also called amorphous alloy, is said to be 2.5 times stronger than titanium alloy, resisting bends and scratches better. Its glossy look, similar to polished stainless steel, should complement the titanium casing Apple's planning. That durability matters for a device switching between a 5.49-inch outer display and a 7.76-inch inner screen.
Apple's foldable iPhone is expected to hit mass production in late 2026, per Ming-Chi Kuo's earlier reports. He estimates 3 to 5 million units for initial shipments, with final specs likely set by mid-2025. Digital Chat Station has pointed to a release sometime in 2026 or 2027, maybe around the back-to-school season.
