Apple today released an update to the Apple TV which brings five new apps: Vevo, Disney Channel, Disney XD, The Weather Channel, and Smithsonian Channel.
Vevo had been rumored to be preparing an app for the Apple TV for quite some time. Their app lets you select music videos to listen to on-demand or you can also watch the Vevo TV channel. More details here.
Disney's apps are accessible to viewers with a pay TV subscription from one of the major providers. The apps provide access to a live feed with on-demand options.
The Smithsonian Channel app offers on-demand clips as does the Weather Channel app; however, in certain cases (ie. large storms) the Weather Channel will provide a live feed of the pay channel.
You can get the update by selecting Software Update from the General menu inside the Settings app.
Where or when did I ever give Apple the permission to perform an update without me knowing or giving an ok for i?. With every other apple device rather it be a mac or iDevice I never had updates being performed without me getting a headsup. Is this legal??? Lucky for us Plex forums has another sollution. Gonna look at that tomorrow. Apple propably earns money for eacht trailer being played.
Where is the Jailbreak for the 5.3 untethered ?
I dont care about the tDisney channels
I have a Directv for that. and HD package I get Smithsonian .
Vevo I can watch it on my IPhone 5 or iPads.
The most important thing is the JAILBREAK!
