Apple is reportedly developing a new feature that would allow Wi-Fi portal login details to synchronize across a user's iPhone, iPad, and Mac, according to a recent newsletter from Mark Gurman to subscribers. This "much-requested time saver" aims to simplify internet access when encountering captive Wi-Fi networks in places like hotels, office buildings, or gyms by only requiring the user to enter information on one device.
Gurman notes that Apple is about a month away from its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, where it typically showcases new features for developers and customers. He says the company faces pressure this year due to AI setbacks, rising competition, and possible tariffs — and will need to avoid repeating last year's missteps, such as announcing Siri improvements that still haven't shipped.
Beyond these broader themes, Gurman also recapped some specific new features he has previously reported on, such as a mode in iOS 19 that would allow AirPods to translate live conversations and a revamped Health app featuring an AI health coach. Apple has officially delayed some of its more personalized Siri features that were previously announced, but we'll likely see them discussed again at WWDC.
