Apple Has a Team of 100 Product Designers Working on an iWatch [Bloomberg]

Apple has a team of around 100 product designers working on an iWatch, according to a Bloomberg report. The watch would perform some of the tasks currently handled by the iPhone and iPad.

The team, which has grown in the past year, includes managers, members of the marketing group and software and hardware engineers who previously worked on the iPhone and iPad, said the people, who asked not to be named because the plans are private. The team’s size suggests Apple is beyond the experimentation phase in its development, said the people.

Notably, the New York Times recently reported that Apple is experimenting with wristwatch-like devices made of curved glass. Bruce Tognazzini, a former Apple employee who specializes in human-computer interaction, also outlined the many benefits of an Apple iWatch and suggested the device could even help improve Maps. “Like other breakthrough Apple products, its value will be underestimated at launch, then grow to have a profound impact on our lives and Apple’s fortunes.”

Definitely. They didn't want to go ahead and make something that wouldn't sell, but after pebble's little success they see money in it. And that's what's apple is all about- money. Hope pebble gonna sue them for "copying" xD Apple is so annoying as a corporation...

nice! soon after it hits the market, every other manufacturer will try to copy it like they did with the iPhone.

Well, I didn't face any error like that. Security Check can relate to the last qusioetn I guess: Please enter any two digits with no spaces (Example: 12). I don't think if it can relate to any other qusioetn so just check your answer to this qusioetn [you have to write a two digit number].

I hope they will have a good battery because if the watch has all these features that people believe it to possess, it will require charging at least twice a day. My new nano is good for five hours if I have the bluetooth turned on.

I doubt it, I think Bluetooth is where this will stop. But this is just a educated guess :)
