The date for the launch and availability of the iPhone has reportedly been confirmed by Gizmodo.
Someone very, very close to the 3G iPhone launch has told me that Apple will announce their new model at the WWDC Keynote on June 9th. The second-generation iPhone will be available worldwide right after the launch, and not at year's end, as previously thought. The new model will also herald new sales policies in some countries.
Gizmodo also claims that June 18th is the date for the launch of the iPhone in Spain. The iPhone is to be released at the grand opening of Telefonica's megastore—an Apple Store-like shop located in the company's historical building in Madrid's Gran Vía.
I hope so... the question is how soon... I've got someone leaving the US on the 11th that yould buy a few, so I'm wondering if I should have him wait until the 10th or get one beforehand. I doubt it will fall so soon, but there's always a chance. And I don't want to be refunded in worthless iTunes credit.
As the iPhone changed the way we communicate - the new policy will give anyone the possibility to own an iPhone and feel applelike. Wonderful news.
Shure we will be vveerryy happy on june 9. And Apple will collect the fees...
