以下為如何使用 Absinthe Mac 版本對 iPad / iOS 5.1.1 進行 Untethered 越獄之教學。

警告***：於繼續之前，請先確定已經透過 iTunes 進行裝置備份，以避免發生如相機膠卷內容消失的狀況。

第一步
從此處下載最新版本的 Absinthe。

第二步
雙點選下載的 Dmg 進行掛載，並拖拉 Absinthe 應用程式至桌面上。

雙點選以由桌面啟動 Absinthe。

第三步
跟著提示，透過 USB 連接您的 iPhone 至電腦。確定移除任何先前所設定的密碼或 VPN 設定。

第四步
點選 Jailbreak 按鈕以開始

第五步
程式將會帶領您進行幾個步驟以進行越獄，包含開始越獄、傳送初始越獄資料（sending initial jailbreak data）、傳送最後越獄資料（sending final jailbreak data）、等待重開機（waiting for reboot）及等待最後步驟以完成（waiting for process to complete）。

第六步
畫面將提示越獄已經完成「Done」。

第七步
一會後，你就會看到 SpringBoard 上出現 Cydia 圖示！

can i use this jailbreak 511 for my ipad 3? i have ipad 3 on 6.0.1...any idea which is the best solution (which version or downgrade) for me if i need a Jailbreak iPad??

Yes, works fine for me (iPad1 64Gb 3G). It take about a hour to complete the procedure...

I did it, but cydia isn't working correctly, it crashes when I tap on it. I tried restoring the iPad but I am getting an error: "This device isn't elegibe for the requested build", I tried modifying the hosts list, but still not working I don't know how to solve I've read, that I can Re-restore to 5.1.1 on Dev-Team Blog (http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/31869383801/blob-o-riffic) but I don't know how. I need help please, thanks!

Hi, Beside using my Iphone as a HotSpot with MyWi to connect my computer I don't have an Internet conncetion. So when I will be Jailbreaking I won't have internet. Is there any way to JB my Iphone 4 Ios 5.1.1 using Absynthe 2.0.2? Thanks

Worked for my unlocked 4S 64gb, although some icons have been turning completely white, randomly, maybe changes from one icon to another after installing or updating an app. White icons could be settings button now, later mail or itunes or music or combination of some, and up to 3 icons at once, all in the iphone's first screen. Still, phone is working normally though. Just weird.

Not working for me, either on my iPad 3 CDMA. Tried with Absinthe 2.0, 2.01, 2.02 on MacBook Pro. Reset all content and settings. Upgraded Lion and iTunes to the latest versions. Tried from guest account on the computer. Over and over again. Consistently hangs on "waiting to reboot." Pretty frustrating because I've donated to the hackers who make these jailbreaks possible...

Note: finally got it to work by doing it on a Windows computer. Everything else was the same.

Finally got My iPad 3 broken! It didnt work on My MacBook PRO, With 10.6.8 And iTunes 10.6.1 But it worked perfectly on My friends MacBook PRO With latest mountain Lion and iTunes 10.6.1

Didnt work on my MacBook air or my MacBook pro. Every time I try to jb through dev team ... Nothing . That's y Geohot was the best, u guys r loosing ur swag.. I been trying to jb my air for a yr now wtf c'mon dudes

not working on ipad 3 32gb wifi. stock in "sending initial jailbreak data. this may also take a while.." from last night until now. progress bar have not move. any soltion to this?

After trying more than 10 different ways and reformatting macbook(yes re-installing Lion) I realized there was a sync issue with iTunes 10.6.1. I went back to iTunes 10.5.3 and it worked on the first try. A lot of people are having all sorts of sync issues with iTunes 10.6.1. Just thought you should know. If your iTunes library has been updated to 10.6.1 you can't just downgrade to 10.5.3. That's why I needed to do clean install and obtain everything from backup. Enjoy!

Done on my IPad 3. No issues whatsoever. Just donated thru paypal "PLEASE DONATE GUYS". This is the only way we can thank them for having our devices jailbroken... :)

Did NOT work on iPad 3 on 5.1.1, tried several times on a Mac. It DID work like a charm on a windows 7 PC!

Ipad 3 GSM europe/sweden Tried both with 2.0 and 2.0.1 still get the same issue It gets stuck on "Waiting for reboot - not done yet, don't unplug your device yet! If i reboot the Ipad i get the error code -5 Same thing with sim inserted (thought this was the issue) Only way go be able to try the jailbreak again I have to reset the ipad

Doesn't work on Canadian iPad 2 with unjailbroken 5.1.1 Tried restore, erase contents, everything...get the "something went wrong thing..then just restores with no cydia

All fixed now with turning off wifi on iPad and using the new 2.0.1 Absinthe :-)
