Burada, iPhone'da arka planda uygulamaların nasıl çalışmaya devam edeceğine dair talimatlar yer alıyor. Bu işlem için jailbroke edilmiş 2.0 veya üzeri sürüme sahip iPhone gerekmektedir.iPhone'u nasıl jailbreak yapacağınıza dair talimatları burada bulabilirsiniz.

Bu örnekte, AIM mesajlaşma progamının arka planda nasıl çalışacağın açıklayacağız. Böylece program açık değilken bile mesaj alabileceksiniz.

Birinci Adım
SpringBoard'dan Cydia uygulamasını çalıştırın.

İkinci Adım
Ekranın altındaki sekmelerden Sections bölümünü seçin.

Üçüncü Adım
System bölümünü seçin

Dördüncü Adım
Listelenen paketlerden Backgrounder uygulamasını seçin.

Beşinci Adım
Sağ kçşeden Install seçeneğine dokunun.

Altıncı Adım
Ekranın sağ köşesinden Confirm seçeneğine dokunun.

Yedinci Adım
Yükleme tamamlanınca, Restart Springboard düğmesine dokunun.

Sekizinci Adım
Şu anda SpringBoard'a dönmüş olmanız gerekiyor. Arka planda çalışmasını istediğiniz uygulamayı çalıştırın. Bu örnekte AIM uygulaması seçilmiştir.

Dokuzuncu Adım
Eğer AIM'de daha önce oturum açtıysanız ağa bağlandığına dair uyarı alacaksınız.

Onuncu Adım
Bir kaç saniye Home düğmesine basılı tutun. Backgrounding Enabled şekilnde bir uyarı mesajı gelecektir.

Onbirinci Adım
Artık SpringBoard'a geri dönebilirsiniz ve eğer biri size AIM üzerinden mesaj gönderirse iPhone'unuz sesli olarak sizi mesaj geldiğine dair uyaracaktır. AIM arka planda çalışmaya devam edecektir. Uygulamayı çalıştırmak için tekrar AIM ikonuna dokunun. Bu sefer ağa bağlanıyor şeklinde bir uyarı almayacaksınız, çünkü son bağlandığınızdan beri program arkada çalışmaya devam ettiği için bağlantınız kopmadı ve bununla birlikte bir yeni mesaj uyarınız olduğuna dair uyarı göreceksiniz.

NOT**: Bu uygulama daha bir çok farklı uygulama ile kullanılabilmektedir. Ör. (Simplify Media) Eğer diğer uygulamalar ile sorun yaşamadan kullanabildiyseniz, yorumlar yazarak diğerlerinin de bilmesini sağlayın.

Backgrounder uygulamasını Home düğmesine bir kaç saniye basılı turarak kapatabilirsiniz. Kapandığında Backgrounding Disabled uyarısını alırsınız.

Works great on skype as long as the phone does not go into sleep mode. It doesn't work when iPhone goes into sleep mode. Anyway to make it work when the phone goes into sleep mode?

you can just turn off the sleep mode by going into settings, then to general and then go to auto lock to set it into NEVER, so now you get messages at any giving time, hope it was a help, take care

Palringo worked for me! This is one of the first jailbreak apps I have installed(Backgrounder) and its exactly what I was looking for! So simple, yet sooo useful!

backgrounder doesn't work on aim. when the phone goes on sleep mode or when it's idle (when I'm not using it), it goes to a black screen. I'll be checking on my sidekick to see if the screenname I used on the iphone signed off. And sure enough it signed off when the iphone went on sleep mode. Then I signed back on iphone and went to surf the internet. I imed my iphone screenname and my iphone didn't beep or anything. I imed it 3 more times and waited until the iphone went to sleep. Touched the screen and checked AIM. No messages were waiting for me! This sucks. I wanted the iphone but since the AIM doesn't work good even with backgrounder, I probably wont go ahead and purchase a data plan for it.

Backgournder is also great for: 1) Tuner - listening to online radio while playing a game / browsing the web. 2) Fring - you can be contacted via skype. 3) Contacts - yes, contacts. If your contacts freezes for about 2 seconds when you load it (and it probably does - check it if you didn't notice it by now...) then just use backgrounder on it to get immediate access to your contacts. NO MORE DELAY FOR ME :) !!!!!!!!!

pandora always crashes when I use it. It seems like if u do too much it crashes. :(

pandora seems to work great for me and haven't crashed yet (will update if it does).
