Apple encontra-se a testar Siri no iPhone 4?

De acordo com o JailbreakNation, a Apple aparentemente encontra-se a testar uma versão do iOS5 onde Siri é suportado pelo iPhone 4.

Hoje, temos uma notícia bastante interessante, uma dica divulgada por uma fonte próximo com Apple. De acordo com eles, a Apple anda a testar Siri noutros equipamentos para além do iPhone 4S. Esse equipamento, a nós, foi nos dito ser o iPhone 4, mas podemos também assumir que o mais provável é que andam a testar noutros equipamentos. Isto implica que potencialmente havemos de ver uma atualização de software que fará com que Siri corra em equipamentos mais antigos.

A AppAdvice foi capaz de confirmar autenticidade da Informação e diz que esta aparenta ser verdade.

“O simples facto de eles a considerarem após o lançamento do iPhone 4S, e até de permitir que os funcionários a utilizem fora do Campus em testes, demonstra que isto poderá ser de uma realidade. No entanto, a Apple, já terminou os testes e retirou a aplicação dos iPhones do funcionários para minimizar as hipóteses de este escapar”

Uma outra fonte de informação anuncia o sucesso dos testes e que estes em termos de performance superaram, no entanto, o microfone do iPod Touch 4G não é tão bom como a do iPhone e isto poderá vir ser um problema.

The thing is DanCJ, this was not my original intention. I was originally commenting on the "sky is falling" attitude here without people post a cogent argument. BBA aka BigBulbousAzz jumped in with the racial stuff, forgetting that he called the lawyer representing Samsung a Gook. Hypocrite is the term used for this.

Jobs never would have allowed it. Siri is the number one selling point of the 4S. The next device to sport Siri should be the iPad 3.

They mite be testing it just to be able to block any hack done by hackers to be able to port siri to iphone 4, and if sis is ported to iphone 4 people wont Buy the iphone 4s that much.

Could this be a 'controlled' leak to deter/delay the jailbreak Siri devs? If it were me porting Siri, I'd loose 50% of my energy after reading this. Siri coming out for non-iPhone 4S will hurt sales, I don't think they will do it. Nice move Apple, good to see still killing spirits post Mr. Jobs

Yep, and what sucks is that apple has almost every right to do it too since hacking devices doesn't carry any patents so hackers that spend a lot of time developing for cydia get rolled over by apple when they use there idea(s) and implement them into the device iOS. As a company I hate apple, but as a customer I love apple's products...

Did it ever occur to you that Apple was going to roll out Siri in a staggered release? Didn't huh? Maybe releasing Siri across the board would have overwhelmed Apple servers and no one would have been able to use Siri. Here's a thought, try some critical thinking next time.

That's because Siri connects to a server online to function. During peak hours, those servers are slammed with requests. If you think it's bad now, imagine how it will be when all iDevices can use it. This is why it's a 4S exclusive: to get it out there and see the traffic it generates so they can upgrade servers accordingly before letting everyone else use it.

They practically make this crap up. Every day iClarified is loaded with news posts that read just like this one. "Apple blah blah blah?". That question mark is the most important single character on the screen. It means that this is not news. It's just bs. For God sakes apple or hackers, give us something to sink our teeth into. All the iPhone 4s buyers will scream foul on Apple since it was the " one more thing" that persuaded the masses to buy new phones versus waiting out for a possible iPhone 5 in the near future.

If they bought an iPhone 4s only because of Siri then they should sell it and buy another brand. That is easy thinking. Marketing in practice is much more complicated than this: people with no iPhone, iPhone 2g, 3g and 3 gs are the real targets. The percentage of iPhone 4 users switching to 4s is not representatives in total sales. Siri works perfectly in US but try asking for a dry cleaning service around you in Austria, France or even UK.

I would have to disagree, without the iphone jailbroken a newer android phone then becomes comparable to the iphone. The iphone is extremely limited in terms of functionality, personalization and overall customer satisfaction. Jailbreaking gives you an insanely high amount of options. I do admit that 5.0 is pretty decent stock, but without it jailbroken there is nothing on the device for me to use other than calling and texting. I use cydia for every function of my iphone 4 from better gps interface to basic personalization to small features which is why I do not regret paying $680 for an iphone (factory unlocked). Thats just my opinion though.

I agree with you 6" if it wasn't for jailbreak I wouldn't buy an iPhone . I am currently using an iPhone 4S i hate it without a jailbreak. I've been using my older iPhone 4.. I could careless about installous because I even buy apps from app store. I like the fact that I can customize my iPhone . I am holding on my Iphone4,
