Estas são as instruções de como fazer o jailbreak no seu iPhone 4 com o firmware 5.1 utilizando RedSn0w para Windows. O tutorial para Mac estará disponível em breve.

Atualizando seu iPhone para o iOS 5.1 através do iTunes irá atualizar sua baseband, isto diminuirá ou extinguirá suas chances de fazer um desbloqueio de operadora. Por favor leia este tutorial de como atualizar para o iOS 5.1 utilizando um ipsw modificado se você precisar do desbloqueio. Este jailbreak é tethered o que significa que você precisará conectar seu dispositivo no computador todas as vezes que o reiniciar. Por fim, é aconselhável salvar seus SHSH Blobs seguindo este tutorial antes de continuar.

O jailbreak para versões anteriores do firmware 5.1, pode ser encontrado aqui.

Primeiro passo
Crie uma pasta no seu computador chamada Pwnage

Baixe a última versão do RedSn0w aqui e coloque-o dentro da pasta Pwnage. Baixe também o firmware 5.1 aqui e coloque-o na pasta Pwnage. (Nota: você não precisa baixar o firmware 5.1 se seu dispositivo já está na versão 5.1)

Descompacte o RedSn0w clicando duas vezes nele.

Como fazer o Jailbreak do seu iPhone 4 utilizando o RedSn0w (Windows) [5.1]

Segundo passo: (Você pode pular este passo se o iOS 5.1 já estiver instalado no seu dispositivo)
Conecte seu iPhone no computador e abra o iTunes.

Selecione seu iPhone na lista de dispositivos à esquerda. Segure o Shift e clique no botão Restaurar. É preferível a restauração, pois não irá criar nenhum espaço inútil no seu iPhone.

Vá para a pasta Pwnage no seu computador e selecione o firmware ipsw 5.1. Clique no botão Abrir para continuar.

O iTunes irá atualizar seu iPhone para o novo firmware.

Terceiro Passo
Abra o redsn0w da pasta extraída anteriormente. Você pode fazer isso clicando com o botão direito no programa e selecionando Executar como Administrador no menu.

Quarto passo
Uma vez com o RedSn0w aberto clique no botão Jailbreak

Quinto passo
Conecte seu iPhone no computador e tenha certeza que ele está DESLIGADO então clique no botão Next

Sexto passo
O RedSn0w irá ajudá-lo a colocar seu dispositivo em modo DFU. Você pode encontrar mais informações sobre o modo DFU aqui

Segure o botão Home e o botão de ligar ou Power por 10 segundos.

Solte o botão de ligar (Power) e continue segurando o botão Home até o RedSn0w detectar o dispositivo.

Sétimo passo
Seu iPhone irá ser destravado com o limera1n e reiniciará

Oitavo passo
O RedSn0w irá preparar os arquivos para o jailbreak.

Nono passo
Selecione Cydia na lista de opções e clique em Next.

Décimo passo
Seu iPhone irá reiniciar novamente e o RedSn0w irá atualizar a memória RAM e o Kernel.

Décimo primeiro passo
Ao término disto você será informado que o RedSn0w acabou. Quando seu iPhone terminar de reiniciar (5 minutos ou mais) ele estará com jailbreak e o Cydia na tela principal (SpringBoard).

Iniciando seu dispositivo TETHERED
Você precisará abrir o redsn0w novamente para iniciar em modo tethered.

Primeiro passo
No menu principal do RedSn0w clique no botão Extras.

Segundo passo
Selecione Just boot no menu Extras para iniciar em modo tethered.

Yes, u can jailbreak 5.1.1 with this software. To unlock you should have old base band(moderm firmware). That should start from 1.X.

I have iphone 4 (4.2.1) on bb: 4.10.01 Can i upgrade it to 5.1 using this method? last time i tried with sn0wbreeze i got error 3194 and all sorts of errors in the itunes. Do i need tiny umbrella or stuff like that in the background or will it work just like that Any help plz?

Yes you can. Use redsn0w. And if your iPhone is on older BB. You can unlock unlock installing ultrasn0w. Enjoy!!

I have an iPhone 4 factory unlocked (can work with any sim card or phone company that I want). I think it originally came with iOS 4.3.3 and I already updated the iOS and jailbreak many times. Nowadays I have it with iOS 5.0.1 already jailbroken.. I'd really like to update to iOS 5.1.1 and jailbreak it. My question: If this iOS update and unthetered jailbreak to 5.1.1 still possible at the moment? or I will end up with a "blocked" iphone, because of the erros in the process, with no other choice that updating to iOS 6.0.1 (current official) with no jailbreak at all. I tryed to jailbreak my iPhone 4 with IOS 6.0.1 with RedSn0w. I follewd the instructions. Everything is going well till the Reboot. When I Reboot the divece ill get de message "missing Keys.plist data for this build". What can I do too solf this? Please help me somone Thanks.

If you saved your blobs or they available just use the jailbreak program to install your IOS and then jailbreak from there. I personally use iFaith and Tinyumbrella to do it, long winded I know but old habits die hard.

i just tried today moving from 4.3.3 to 5.1.1 but apparently apple has stopped signing 5.1.1 , i tried everything , with editing hosts file and adding 74.208.105.171 with original 5.1.1 on desctop and laptop both 1600 error , tried with tiny umbrella again 1600 error . Tried cleaning hosts file i get 3194 cos appla stopped signing 5.1.1 . I tried stiching and restoring , everytime i restore i restore in DFU , and i got stuck in a restore loop which was only able to be fixed by using the clean restore from itunes ( clean hosts ) to 6.0 how can i restore to 5.1.1 because i need cydia !

Found the solution : after u get -1 error from what i described above , and get stuck in restore . What worked for me is redsn0w-> then extras(or more) -> recovery fix . It tells u to turn off ur phone so u can click next for the next steps to enter DFU , but thats impossible , the power button turns off ur phone for 3-4 seconds so what u need to do is just HOLD BOTH POWER AND HOME for about 10 seconds , the screen will go black , then after 10 seconds release the power button .. and couple of seconds later , text , bootloader loading on the iphone appears , then leave ur phone do the rest . THen u can freely jailbreak
