Inilah petunjuk untuk men-jailbreak iPhone 4 dengan iOS 4.2.1 menggunakan PwnageTool untuk Mac.

Langkah Pertama
Buatlah folder bernama "Pwnage" di desktop. Didalamnya, anda memerlukan beberapa hal. PwnageTool 4.2, dapat diundah disini atau here.

Anda juga memerlukan iPhone firmware 4.2.1.
4.2.1 (4): iPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw

Ketika mengundah file IPSW, dianjurkan untuk mengundah dengan menggunakan browser Firefox karena Safari sering mengekstrak secara otomatis!

Langkah Kedua
Klik dua kali untuk meng-ekstrak PwnageTool kemudian tarik ikon PwnageTool kedalam folder Pwnage.

Kemudian, dari dalam folder Pwnage, klik dua kali untuk menjalankan palikasi PwnageTool.

Klik Ok jika muncul pesan peringatan.

Langkah Ketiga
Klik untuk memilih Expert Mode dari menu bar diatas

Langkah Keempat
Klik untuk memilih alat anda. Tanda centang akan muncul diatas gambar alat anda. Klik tombol berpanah biru untuk melanjutkan.

Langkah Kelima
Anda akan dibawa ke halaman "Browse for IPSW". Klik tombol Browse for IPSW....

Dari jendela yang muncul, pilihlah firmware anda dari folder Pwnage kemudian klik tombol Open.

Langkah Enam
Anda akan dibawa ke menu dengan beberapa pilihan. Klik untuk memilih General kemudian klik tombol berpanah biru.

Pengaturan General menyediakan pilihan untuk menentukan besaran patisi. Centanglah Activate the phone jika anda tidak menggunakan penyedia jasa telekomunikasi resmi kemudian klik tombol berpanah biru.

NOTE*: Batalkan pilihan centang Activate jika anda memiliki iPhone degan penyedia jasa telekomunikasi resmi yang sudah diaktifkan.

Pengaturan pada menu Cydia menyediakan pilihan untuk membuat "custom packages" supaya anda tidak perlu meng-install secara manual nantinya.

Klik untuk memilih tab Download packages. Kemudian klik tombol Refresh untuk menampilkan paket paket yang tersedia. Klik dua kali paket yang anda kehendaki untuk mengundah dan memasukan paket kedalam tab Select Packages.

Centanglah paket yang kehendaki dan klik tombol berpanah biru.

Menu pengaturan Custom Packages menampilkan daftar pengaturan serring untuk IPSW kustom anda. Untuk sekarang, biarkan pilihan seperti apa adanya. Klik tombol berpanah biru untuk melanjutkan.

Langkah ketujuh
Anda sekarang siap untuk melakukan proses "pwnage"! Klik tombol Build untuk memilih kemudian klik tombol berpanah biru untuk memulai.

[bLangkah Kedelapan
Anda akan diminta untuk menyimpan file kustom .ipsw. Simpanlah didalam folder Pwnage yang anda buat di Desktop anda.

IPSW anda sekarang sedang dibuat. Mohon menunggu selama kurang lebih 10 menit.

Anda akn diminta untuk memasukan password admin anda. Lakukan dan klik tombol OK.

Langkah Kesembilan
Ketikaa ipsw anda selesai dibuat anda akan diminta untuk menghubungkan iPhone anda ke komputer. Setelah alat anda terdeteksi, PwnageTool akan menuntun anda melalui langkah langkah yang akan membuat iPhone anda kedalam mode DFU.

Tekan dan tahan tombol "power" dan "home" selama 10 detik.

Kemudian lepas tombol "power" dan terus menahan tombol "home" selama 10 detik.

Setelah iPhone berhasil masuk dalam mode DFU, PwnageTool akan memberi tahu anda untuk menjalankan aplikasi iTunes.

Langkah Sepuluh
Setelah aplikasi iTunes berjalan, tahan tombol Alt/Option di keyboard anda dan klik "Restore".

Langkah Kesebelas
Kembalilah ke folder Pwnage di desktop anda menggunakan jendala pilihan yang muncul.
Pilih IPSW kustom yang telah dibuat dan klik tombil Choose.

Langkah Keduabelas
iTunes akan mengembalikan firmware di iPhone anda. Proses ini bisa memakan waktu selama 10 menit. Setelah selesai, iPhone anda akan memulai dari awal dan masuk ke dalam iOS 4.2.1 yang sudah di-Jailbreak!

guys. i was using iphone 4 (factory unlocked) which i upgraded to OS 4.3 then i used pwnage tool to jailbreak it and downgrade it to os 4.2.1 but now i am unable to use my i phone. my iphone is stuk on restore mode and only displaying itunes and a cable on the screen. !! what to do to restore it ? can any1 help me plz ?

I keep trying to do this and every time the process gets stuck in iTunes when its trying to verify the upgrade with Apple. Then it says it can't do that. I tried to sign out and back in to my iTunes account and now i get another messages: this device is not eligible for this build. WTF??? I have a jailbroken iPhone 4 with 4.1 firmware. Did it before with PwnageTool on MAC. No idea what is wrong with this as i've done this since OS 2.0... Any ideas? Anyone?

You need to add : 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com to your hosts file. And then try to use iTunes again(restore custom). Apple has stopped signing 4.2.1

Thanks for your reply! Just so I understand: i don't actually have to already be at 4.2.1 in order to restore to a custom 4.2.1, right? Someone told me that its failing because of that. Because I'm currently at 4.1. Is this right? I don't need to already be at 4.2.1? If i add this entry to my hosts file - the restore should work?

@Helper I added the 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com to my hosts file, and still getting the same error "the iphone ***** could not be restored. this device isn't eligible for the requested build" Any other sugestions?

Iphone4 ios 4.2.1, with fw 2.10.04. JB using PwnageTool 4.2 but Cydia does not work. It quits before it can even execute. Any fix for this ??

Run redsn0w and Select "install cydia" and make sure it's the only box checked. No need to restore or anything, just run the latest redsn0w and when it asks you to select a firmware file, make sure you point it to your STOCK 4.2.1 firmware file. @adamthepizzaman

I had the same problem with cydia not opening i just re-jailbroke and made certain i followed the instructions and it worked...AT&T iphone 4 w/4.2.1

Worked just fine for me. Thank you iClarified for the very clear instructions. I would like to add that you should backup your data in iTunes before JB. After JB, restore the data you backed up in iTunes. I needed to do that to put all the files/musc/contacts back into the iPhone.

my signal bars have dropped significantly after using this pwnage 4.2. i originally used the greenpois0n jailbreak to get to ios 4.2 but i wanted the ibooks fix so used pwnage 4.2. my signal bars went from 5 bars to 1 and sometimes it goes to 'no service'. to make sure that it wasn't just my sim/account that is having trouble, i put my sim into my wife's iphone 4 (jailbroken with greenpois0n on ios 4.2) and the signal bars went up to 5 bars. i put her sim into my phone and the signal bars went down to 1 bar and sometimes to 'no signal'. i switched bak the sims and sure enough, on my phone the bars completely dropped to 'no signal'. anyone else with the same problem?

i did not have 3g on. i've gone back to greenpois0n jailbreak. better a broken 'ibooks' rather than a phone with no signal. signal is now fine. 5 full bars!!!

How to Jailbreak and unlock your iPhone 3Gs Using Sn0wbreeze 2.2 (PwnageTool for Windows) by Creating iOS 4.2.1 Custom Firmware - with out 1600 errors ... my phone: 4.0.1 , 05.13.04 BB on Win7, x64 host: ** I have not seen icons on the SB and iREB applications. I just followed looking at corresponding screen shots - may be my host problem, 1. Download Sn0wbreeze 2.2 for Windows 2. extract sn0wbreeze-2.2-final.zip to any dir. 3. Download iOS4.2.1 for 3Gs: http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone4/061-9895.20101122.Cdew2/iPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a_Restore.ipsw 4 launch snowbreeze and in the second step select ipsw file 5. Select SImple mode and click blue button - will take some time and it says custom ipsw is created on ur desktop. ** I have followed the next steps promted by SB nut i alyws got 1006 error, so below are the steps that worked for me. 6. exit sonow breeze. 7. download iREB http://ih8sn0w.com/index.php/download/file/ireb/pc 8. Put the phone in DFU mode. there is a nice video in iClarified.com - i just followed it. 9. plug in iphone and laiunch iREB. 10. Click on 3GS button on iREB. it does something ... like puttining down limerain .. dont worry.. 11. launch itunes, while iREB is still running ... itwill tell you to restore the phone. 12. use shift+resotre button to pick up the custom FW that was created in step 5. *** I have not seen any error .. just went fine. restore sucess keeping my BB intact. 13. install ultrasn0w from Cydia.
