Mike PetersApril 20, 2011 it all depends on what you like. i have a touch, and i am going to get the iponhe. so you can keep both. in my oppinion the iponhe runs smoother than the droid x, and it might not have as big of screen but it has retna display and facetime.

I asume Tom is right, and I always think the same way... why the delay, the found the exploit and what??? almost 9 months later a JB for 4.3.3 and the 4.3.4 was ready??? c'mon, smell the roses and see the truth... they are being paid, Apple controls the market and marketing for the iPhone.. do you think they will not control that too and raise the sales when they need it... be serious..

I think news like this does help sell phones. I know I've upgraded from ipad 1 to 2, just because of that. Keep up the good work. :) I'm now also a little more tempted to jump to 4S then before, but can't yet justify the jump from 4 to 4S.

iOS 5.0 has been jailbroken.. and that includes the 4S. Please don't say "4S" has been jailbroken cuz ppl will think it was a boot exploit like geohot's
Nick
Nick - October 28, 2011 at 4:02pm
Even though iOS 5 has been jailbroken doesn't mean they found a way to jailbreak the iPhone 4S. The hardware is different on the iPhone 4S, which means they can't use the same method they use on the other iPhones to upload the jailbreak, they have to find another hardware exploit.

What jailbreak do you speak of for the 4S? redsnow and semijailbreak dont support 4S.
Nick
Nick - October 28, 2011 at 4:51pm
Nothing supports the iPhone 4s right now.

Tom - October 28, 2011 at 2:24pm
Hmmmm didn't I tell you guys apple made a deal with dev team???? Hmmm A5 got JB before the regular..... Wow I remember when iPad 2 came out dev team was saying A5 was REALLY hard..... Hmmm looks like people will be buying iPhone 4s now huh.
Nick
Nick - October 28, 2011 at 2:32pm
Considering the A5 processor has been out since the iPad2 came out earlier this year, the Dev team and many other people have had plenty of time to work on it. So it's not too astonishing that they've cracked it on the iPhone 4S so quickly since it's the same processor that they've already been working on.
Tom
Tom - October 28, 2011 at 2:55pm
Ok you don't remember how long it took them to JB the iPad 2??? Now all of a sudden A5 is easier huh!!!! Come on take off those knee pads and just open your eyes dude, how would it be easier for A5 and not the regular?
Nick
Nick - October 28, 2011 at 3:31pm
Dude, the A5 in the iPad 2 is the same processor that is in the iPhone 4s, which means the work they've done on the A5 in the iPad 2 can be transferred over to the iPhone 4S so it won't take as long to jailbreak the iPhone 4S as it did for the iPad 2.

Tom! yu just open your mouth you have no idea what you are talking about.. The guys are trying to help us jailbreak our devices.. If they were paid by Apple trust me they won't be posting anything here. Apple sometimes wants this jailbreak ..cuz they knew they will sell more devices whether is an Iphone4S or iPads .. So chill man !! and be patient.. This process is not easy.. if you remember when Geohot unlocked an iPhone it took him 500 hours of his time..
Andy
Andy - October 29, 2011 at 8:29am
This is like argueing with a 5 year old. Its becoming quite obvious to me you can only read at a primary level and cannot seem to grasp what I am posting. So let me slow it down for you. The minority of the whole iphone community jailbreak. The majority of those who DO jailbreak do it for free PAID applications from APPTRACKR. Still following there? Great. So why would Apple release a jailbreak WITH the Dev team? What would be in it for them? Nothing is what. They may sell a few more phones, but at the same time would loose MORE from people not using the OFFICIAL app store.b how you're seemingly not understanding these posts, or general buisness logic for that reason is staggering.

Awayze - October 30, 2011 at 1:12am
Wow, Tom doesn't know anything. iPad 2 and iPhone 4S both use the A5 chip so obv it was going to be easier to JB. If you think Apple are paying.....then wow.
Awayze
Awayze - October 30, 2011 at 1:18am
Tom, you idiot. He says the majority of people don't JB which is true. Andy then says the majority of people who DO JB, JB just for Installous, which is true.
