Twitter has announced that its $8/month Twitter Blue subscription will cost $11/month if you subscribe on iOS. The subscription offers reader mode, the ability to edit tweets, 1080p video uploads, and more.

we're relaunching @TwitterBlue on Monday – subscribe on web for $8/month or on iOS for $11/month to get access to subscriber-only features, including the blue checkmark 🧵
when you subscribe you'll get Edit Tweet, 1080p video uploads, reader mode, and a blue checkmark (after your account has been reviewed)
we'll begin replacing that "official" label with a gold checkmark for businesses, and later in the week a grey checkmark for government and multilateral accounts
subscribers will be able to change their handle, display name or profile photo, but if they do they'll temporarily lose the blue checkmark until their account is reviewed again
---
Elon Musk has publicly criticized Apple for its 30% App Store cut. By charging $11/month on iOS, Twitter will get ~$8/month after Apple's take. Although a recent face to face meeting between Musk and Apple CEO Tim Cook resolved some App Review and advertising issues, it appears that Apple didn't budge on its commission rate.
Apple is currently facing numerous antitrust investigations and legislation that targets its App Store policies. Last month, the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA) entered into force, starting the countdown to when Apple will be required to allow sideloading of apps, third party app stores, outside payment services, and more.
