Foldable iPhone Unlikely to Launch Before 2025 [Report]

It's unlikely that Apple will debut a foldable iPhone until at least 2025, according to a new report from Display Supply Chain Consultants.

We delayed our expectations for Apple entering the foldable smartphone market by two years to 2025 after discussions with our supply chain contacts. The company does not appear to be in a hurry to enter the foldable smartphone market, and it may even take longer than that.
The report notes that foldable panel shipments for 2021 came in at 10.0 million, up 207% Y/Y. Foldable smartphone shipments for 2021 reached 7.98 million, up 254% year over year, and were better than expected. This was due to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 which sold 14% more units than anticipated.
In 2021, Samsung captured 88% of the foldable smartphone market, up from 86% in 2020.
