Sonny Dickson, a reputable source of iPhone leaks, has posted another photo of Apple's rumored new Lightning cable with a reversible USB connector.
Reversible USB port on the new Lightning cables!
Images of the cable first surfaced on Dianxinshouji. The design matches up with a patent filed by Apple for REVERSIBLE USB CONNECTOR.
It's likely that Apple will launch the new Lightning cable alongside the iPhone 6. The company is expected to unveil the next generation smartphone on September 9th.
I like the idea, putting a USB cable in the back of my imac is a bi*ch, this is just one less thing to worry about (should have been this way from the beginning)
like its so hard to use a regular USB which works perfectly why fix a good thing? ( maybe so it will break and Apple will make even more money selling the lightning cable? ) Get the ones they sell now before they are gone forever!
We went from bulky 30 pin to reversible lightning, nothing wrong here, what if we're tired of trying to find the right way in so much ? Besides how can you tell if it breaks? Another thing is that there is much more choices than buying cables from apple so technically they would make much money but not that much for replacement.
I just hope they make it more durable overall. I don't get how everything about the iphone and MacBook is high quality except their usb and power cords. They can't stand up to normal use worth anything. This would be a much better improvement then reversible USB.
