T-Mobile Announces New Family Plan Starting at $100

T-Mobile Announces New Family Plan Starting at $100

Posted July 28, 2014 at 4:36pm by iClarified
T-Mobile has announced a new limited time family plan that undercuts AT&T, Sprint and Verizon's plans by $60. Starting at just $100, a family of four can get 10GB of data, unlimited talk/text, tethering, and unlimited talk/data/text in over 120 countries.

Starting July 30 through September, a family of four can get up to10 GB of LTE data – 2.5 GB each – until 2016 on America’s fastest nationwide LTE network with all the Un-carrier benefits for just $100 a month on T-Mobile.

So, here’s the math: AT&T’s “Best-Ever Pricing” four lines for $160 vs four lines for $100 with T-Mobile—with unlimited talk, text, and data plus up to 10 GB of LTE data on our data-strong network. Plus, their “Best-Ever” deal comes with a boatload of crap – domestic overages, international roaming fees, hidden device subsidy costs, and on and on.

It doesn’t take a genius, right? That’s $60 in your wallet every month for a family of four —or $1,440 over two years. What would your family or small business do with those savings?
It infuriates me that they’re selling this to hardworking families who could use that money for more important things. And they have the nerve to call it “Best-Ever Pricing.” I just couldn’t stand by without speaking up and calling them on their BS.

This offer does end 9/30/14 and the pricing is for 4 lines only. The fine print does note that on 1/2/16, the plan will change to to 1GB data per line (4GB total). However, since these plans do not require a contract, you can switch at anytime.

There are some inconsistencies in the report 1) the write up mentions voice/data/text included on international but on the chart it only states data/text 2) it specifies a saving of $1440 over two years but the package only goes through to 2/1/2016 or 18months before you lose 6gb of data In addition to this it is still a rip off although a lesser rip off than AT&T etc. When I visit UK I get a pay as you go which consists of 300 out going minutes (only US charges for incoming minutes) and no charge for incoming minutes, 3000 text messages and unlimited Data for GBP 15 or $23 PER MONTH

I still find AT&T greedy. Once my 2 months is up after somehow waiting 4 years for the contract to end I'm switching to T-mobile.

If you will include the handset, at&t will still give you less cost?

I have the same setup bro with AT&T. I still keep my 6 lines with AT&T because of the grandfather Unlimited data. What you can do is make one account with 5 lines and another account with the 6th additional line by itself.

So you're saying more people make it cheaper even with 2 accounts?

Do the math. 4 lines $100, one line thereby is $__.

They should make it possible to have more than 5 lines on a single Family Plan. I have 6 lines with AT&T and can't switch because of that.
