Nokia today introduced its first Windows tablet, the Nokia Lumia 2520.
Nokia's first Windows tablet, the Lumia 2520, is designed to work anywhere, with a vivid 10.1-inch HD display that is designed to provide the best outdoor and indoor readability of any tablet. Building on Nokia's rich mobility heritage, the Lumia 2520 combines both 4G LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity, a 6.7MP camera, and for the first time ever on a tablet, ZEISS optics, letting people take beautiful pictures - even in low light. The Lumia 2520 runs on Windows RT 8.1 for a highly personal and easy to navigate experience, and also features multiple color choices and fast-charging capability - providing up to an 80% charge in one hour.
The Lumia 2520 also comes with a number of unique software experiences that are exclusive to the Lumia family, including the exclusive "Dragons Adventure" interactive game developed in partnership with DreamWorks Animation. Additionally, the Lumia 2520 includes Nokia Storyteller, a Nokia developed application that introduces a new way to curate and relive images and videos as a story on a map, as well as Nokia Video Director, which offers the ability to edit and get even more creative with videos shot on the Lumia 2520 - as well as content from Lumia smartphones. With integrated HERE Maps, the Lumia 2520 is the only tablet with true offline maps for a fast and reliable maps experience. The tablet also includes an exclusive version of Nokia Music with Mix Radio preinstalled.
The Lumia 2520 pairs with a unique and stylish accessory which offers a great set of benefits: the Nokia Power Keyboard. Offering up to five extra hours of battery life and two built-in USB ports, the Nokia Power Keyboard makes battery life worries a thing of the past. A protective and wraparound cover, the Nokia Power Keyboard includes a fully functional keypad with gesture trackpad, so typing feels as natural as on a laptop. With Microsoft Office and Outlook preinstalled, getting more done on the go is easier than ever.

Then where are you going to put the keyboard when you switch to a tablet, plus can it even beat mac with slow same ie and the flat one squared color look? iPad is the shit but if you want to run desktop on it, buy a mac mini, may use more money to spend but you still get good performance!
So you're saying apple is money hungry? It's just stocks dude! Apples gets money because people are satisfied, if you were to make sense, apple would be shit with everything! Did you even watch the new keynote? No, you say apple isn't going to make the markets yet you just sit around missing out on iPad, look at the charts dude, competitors aren't even close, plus 72 million sold, iPad air is a real game changer! You need to push your attitude and fact before assuming how much you love yet shit about apple!
None of that makes sense. Sure, 72 million sold and counting. And most are sitting on people's nightstands or in their bathrooms like mine. Mind you, I like having it there and it serves a particular purpose there but, it could never and will never replace my laptop. The reason why is that it's just not designed for full functionality like a laptop or a Windows 8 pro tablet. It easily could be with some major changes to iOS but I don't think Apple will ever do that. If they do it will be to desperately catch what they let pass them by years prior.
No doubt Apple has incredible sales. My original comment though has nothing to do with sales.
Apple sells exponentially more iPads than MS sells surface. Walmart sells more bread than Apple sells iPads. It's apples and oranges. Just because apple sells a trillion iOS devices doesn't begin to suggest that it will replace your or my desktop environment. Millions of people are buying iPads. None of them are purchasing iPads to replace their computers. To recap what I suggested In my first post, iOS is a great operating system but lacks the full functionality that is absolutely essential to the desktop environment. Comparing iOS to Windows is like comparing Windows RT to Windows pro Or like comparing iOS to OSx for that matter. iOS isn't going anywhere, people will still want iPads ect. in the future to perform menial tasks and read books and browse the Internet, just like they've been doing for the last several years.
My comments suggest this, NS is continuously and progressively, working hard to bring the desktop like environment to a tablet. Over time that agenda will pay off. The business world is in no hurry to replace Microsoft Office. The business world is in no hurry to replace Microsoft Essentials. The business world is in no hurry to replace Exchange or any of the countless other programs or systems that make the world go round.
As a single example people want Photoshop. They do not want the shitty half functional version of Photoshop that is available on iOS.
Actually i think he is right, i loved and still love every one of my iPads but like the man says its not a PC on the other hand Apple might have a surprise on its way i keep wondering why my new iPad is named Air and not 5 if Apple will follow its past ways and the next iPad will be a Pro which will include USB 3 connectors for external HD or CD drives or whatever plus letting us surf and download making it an Apple computer tablet then there will be no force on this earth that can beat them but right now Microsoft thinking of the next generation PC's as tablets is true and no force will stop it! I really hope Apple is listening to this.
