Leaked iPhone 5S Box Shows Modified Home Button, Corroborates Fingerprint Scanner Rumors? [Photos]

Newly leaked photos alleging to be of the retail box for the iPhone 5S show a modified Home button that corroborates rumors describing a ring around the button due to an embedded fingerprint scanner.

In August, 9to5Mac described the button as follows:

Contrary to recent talk, the new Home button’s design will not be noticeably convex. Perhaps the shape has changed, but the tweaked button is nothing distinct enough for the iPhone 5S to be identified as anything but an iPhone 5 by the untrained eye. There’s the possibility, however, that the etching and border of the Home button could become more shiny and look slightly different.

Fox News' Clayton Morris has also 'confirmed' that the Home button is "it's an inny (concave) and it's gonna have a silver ring around it".

so freaking fake... everytime a new iphone comes out, box gets smaller & smaller... I expect the 5S box to be almost fitting the phone size, no useless space.

Actually Ravi iPhones can come in white boxes even though the phone is black. I have a black iPhone 4S and it came in a WHITE box. You might wana check your facts before making stupid comments. The main reason this picture is probably fake is because it seems though there isn't going to be a black iPhone 5s. According to several recent leaks that is. We have seen the gold version, the gun metal grey version and the white& silver one but no black.

The reason these photos are such crap quality is, at least I'd assume, they were photoshopped by someone who did a poor job, lower the image quality so the modified photo isn't so apparent it's been modified.

Cant really tell. I hope this feature is not like the "no hands wave" feature on sgs4. Which was a feature samsung pushed in their ads and its a feature that many people don't really use. But im sure Apple will have it setup in a way that really works. It just sucks for the people in cold weather cities who wear gloves. I think this feature will push hobo glove sales like crazy!

Does anyone explain me, how can be ready iPhones 5S and 5C, If Apple has not released the gold master iOS 7? I read tons of iPhones were shipped to US and are ready for sale.... Just waiting for the launch on Tuesday.

Gold master is probably ready they just haven't released it yet. And this box could always just be the box with no phone that someone obtained.
