A container full of packaging material allegedly for Apple's new smartphone reveals that it will supposedly be called the 'iPhone 5C'.
Macotakara found the photo in the WeiPhone forums. It's authenticity is unclear as it could just be a photo of knockoffs in production. The packaging does seem larger than that of Apple's recent devices.
However, iLounge has already predicted that the iPhone 5C will be the name of Apple's low-cost model smartphone. They also say it will be made substantially from plastic, a cross between an iPhone 5, fifth-generation iPod touch and iPod classic, have a 4” screen, a back similar to fifth-gen iPod touch, and a shape similar to iPod classic.
Check out the photo below and let us know what you think!
C will stand for the name "CLASSIC"
Its what we call things design-related to old models...
It has its design clue from iPhone3G, hence the name supports it.
iPhone 5 "C"LASSIC
No one cares whether you buy an iPhone or an Android phone. The world does not revolve around you. Apple does not care what phone you buy so stop wasting space on this thread.
I just got the G S4 and I miss my iphone. Still glitchy like it was 2 years ago. Come on 5s hurry up and make all of us happy! Definitely trading this thing for the 5s, not even gonna look back. Miss Clash of Clan and the sexy apps.
It is somewhat environmentally friendly packaging. If its real, it's probably the same packaging they use for the iPods. Which dissolves in water after some time. Google it and look for the video.
Really? Why do you say that? They've done It with other product lines over the years. The iPod, MacBook, and the iPad. If all this is true It's going to be an entry level device for younger kids, or people just buying their first smartphone. Which will possibly lead them to buy the better more expensive model or other apple products in the future.
