Tim Cook: Apple Will Roll Out the Future of iOS and OS X at WWDC 2013

In an interview at the D11: All Things Digital conference, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that Apple will be 'rolling out the future of iOS and OS X' at WWDC 2013.

Cook was asked if this is what Jonathan Ive has been working on.

He replied: "Yes. What we did last fall was change things up — to really ramp up our innovation. The key in the post-PC era for having a great product is incredible hardware, incredible software, and incredible services, and to combine them so you can't tell what's what. The magic is at the intersection."

"So what we did was amp it up. We recognized that Jony had contributed significantly to the look and feel of Apple over many many years, and he could do that for our software as well.

Cook didn't want to comment when asked about former SVP of iOS Software at Apple.

"I don't want to talk about people who aren't there. The whole concept is to tighten the groups even more, so we could spend more time finding magic at the intersection. Now it's seven months later, and I think it's been an incredible change. Craig is running iOS and OS X, which has been fantastic. Eddy is focused on services. It's been great."

Apple is set to deliver is WWDC 2013 keynote address on June 10th. The new iOS is said to be 'black, white, and flat all over'.

I said nearly three years ago that iOS was in need of a complete redesign. I also predicted that they would redesign it when it was too late and make all the wrong changes. Watch, what Apple needs to do is completely change the way that iOS handles external content. Attaché nets in emails, texts, moving files from A to B ect... Instead they will make a crap load of changes that really changes nothing and instead gives a new look and feel to an already very dated os. iOS 7 will most likely be the beginning of the real down slope for Apple.

iOS 7 will be awesome. Apple is known to take ideas and make in there own design, and it always turns out awesome.
